it turned out the Kit alone was 445.00...Owch!!
So, instead....
I just got this today, Spent over 7 hours
building it from scratch.

I still have stuff to do to this car yet, but it is at
a Rolling chassis state right now. But **** did
I get a sweet deal on this car.
First my local hobby guy brought the price down
to 199.99 (Kit Only)
Then he threw in a new set of brushes, new 25T pinion,
used green machine motor, Novak ESC unit.
I already had the Reciever & Radio kicking around
along with these sweet mesh rims and V-rage tires
which really stick to the asphalt.
This car is apparently crazy fast and I cant wait
any longer.
I probably wont even use the lexan body that
came with this thing, so I guess if someones
wants it, ill sell it for a decent price. (Decals Incl.)
I want a ricer body such as an Eclispe...rofl

that motor looks like you could wire it up to a xmod! lol! That would be fast as hell*o(i said hello not the other word)
torredo
07-19-2005, 10:44 PM
that motor didnt end up working afterall,
I stuck a Reedy 27T in it....That wasnt good
enough for my taste so I bought a brand
new Matrix 19T SPEC motor...SaWeeeT Fast now!!

today i taped my camera to my TC3 and ran it on the street for a while and man its hard to see where its going. Anyway mine does like 25 mph (rough estimate)
torredo
07-20-2005, 12:58 AM
stock....it should run faster than that?
It comes with a 15T motor....
The motor I just bought goes in the field of 80+ kmh
hmmm?
phoenixeclipse
07-20-2005, 10:14 AM
well to tell the truth i have no way of telling how fast it is and the esc im using is a Novak Explorer 2 and im using a King Cobra motor and it says Epic 27 on the front of it . i dont know what 25 mph translates to in kmh though.
but it scoots!
i have no sense of telling how fast something is going...... :nodno:
Edit: 25 mph = 40.2336 kph
torredo
07-20-2005, 10:23 AM
dang!
them canadian/american conversions mess me
up all the time. I didnt catch the (MPH)...but I
guess 40kmh isnt half bad...
phoenixeclipse
07-20-2005, 10:28 AM
by any chance do you know What the 27 means in Epic 27?
torredo
07-20-2005, 10:36 AM
I think it is the timing in degrees.
Example: My Reedy Rage Stock24 I had was
a 27T motor but 24 degrees timing.

ive owned a handful of both nitro
and electric touring cars and the
TC3 is by far the best one ive had.
It rips!!
Bought a downforce rear bumper and
alloy heatsink today too...
phoenixeclipse

even though i have never had a 1/10 scale rc or larger before my Tc3 i would have to recomend getting one of these babies
torredo
07-20-2005, 06:53 PM
ive heard that for some odd reason that
you cant get the TC4 as fast as the TC3...
Basically the same car with a few different
options, so i dont see why this is?
But yea....The TC3 is a very well planed
out car with the low profile chassis and weight
distribution. Battery is close to the alloy driveshaft
and the rest of the electronics are on the opposite
side to equal the weight out as evenly as possible.
(TC4 had brought the baterry even closer to the shaft).
Fully adjustable suspension includes"
Toe-in/out
Camber
Bump stops
Caster
Macro oil filled, coil-over shocks
Carbide steel ball diffs
V-rage tires
(RTR kit comes with LRP Runner w/reverse & 15T motor)
etc...
good bang for the buck!
The only thing I really needed to upgrade were the
diffs over to lightened steel. Melted the front one
in 5 minutes flat. No biggie!
you wouldnt be disspointed!!

How much are they? And are the batteries ones you charge or ones you buy from a store like aaa's and aa's?
torredo

1/10th scale R/C's use:
7.2v stick battery (3300mAh++ recomended)
(or)
individual cells (matched). What this is good for
is maintaining each cell, Conditioning, etc..not to
mention if 1 cell dies on you, WHAM!! its out and
the new one is in its place!!
They say your batterypack is as good as its dead cell.
This is why individuals are best but are expensive. For
a set of 6 cells is approx: 60-70.00 CDN
