Okay, so as most of you know I can't take on a 'normal' project. Initially this was going to be my entry in the 1:18th scale competition, but I doubt I will get it done in time with demonic inlaws visiting. So here's whats done so far. I picked up some new 'Bully' rims, mounted them up. Took out the stock motor, modified the cradle, and mounted a 1:10th scale motor. You can see in the photo the difference in size. Also installed a 96t delrin spur gear, and 48t aluminum pinion gear. Had to switch to lipo to power the beast, and still my run-time isn't that great, but man its got some power for its size. Next up is installing the GPM parts I have waiting, and maybe cutting some carbon fiber.

I have a clear Mini-LST body I am going to cut to fit, and I am open to suggestions on the paint style :)

The crazy gearing was to offset a bit of the motors gearing, which is a 27t motor. The ESC will probably go first, it gets pretty hot, and that's just been during short tests to make sure it was working correctly. The motor isn't overheating yet, but most likely that's because its drawing from a smaller power supply than its built for.

So you were right ;) If I go full throttle off the bat, it flips quick ;) Any ideas on keeping the wheels mounted? Its like owning a stock Xmod all over again, I keep throwing wheels across the house :P While my dogs find it fun to chase them down, I would rather not break anymore parts.

Edit: I am very tempted to mount my 12t brushless on the mini-t :D

Whole wheel like rim + tire coming off or just tire? CA glue tires to rim.

Sorry, the whole wheel, tire and all. The stock lugnuts aren't holding under the increased speed.

Put some tape on the thread and screw it on tighter.

Put some tape on the thread and screw it on tighter.

threadlock also works, the red one will insure nothing will come out(and nothong does come out.. the blue one should be just fine though
