The first two was right before The Shack discontinued Gen 1.

The addiction continued...
Found myself going to a different Shack everyday after work.


After several shacks and nothing in stock, found these two display models...

They were shelved in a display case since Day 1 at the shack, as they claimed.
Looks like returned mechandise, but I didn't care.
Shelved them, thus these seen no miles.


A little description:
Both bone stock, but the wheels, the brakes and the body kit.
Civic is lowered with an RSX front clip, and dual exhaust mod.

Nice collection! What exactly is the point of the two screws on the rear bumper of the Civic? Is it part of the "dual-exhaust"?

The screw is used to hold the muffler mount. The other is there for balanced look.



Back to my problem...

After visiting many Shacks with nothing in stock, started to get acquainted with the Shack people.
This paid off. One of the manager was able to locate a black Civic starter Kit and some RSXs and Supra bodies for me.
She called to have me pick them up.

its usually overstock of old kits, or used/returned kits, or display models, just ask for the manager and ask him/her.

radio shack unlimited, but i belive most of the bodies are no longer avalible through them, but since the 65 stang is a gen 3 its prob still there

Yea, when to RS and asked for old xmods. None in the returns, or at least not the older generations.
Also asked the manager about Unlimited. He said only the old Camaro is available. I have it already, so left it for some other soul that wants to add it to their collection.
One question for y'all; do all RS have the same list form Unlimited? I mean if I go to a different RS, will the manager tell me only the old Camaro is available again?

Any how, here the next episode to my addiction...

The Subaru wing mounting hole fit with the GTR, but to lower it the holes on the GTR have to be widen for the mounting poles of the wing.:lol:

I got on this train right before they discontinued Gen 1, about 6 years ago. I was a little older than you at the time though.

Actually, my first batch of Aluminum parts are on it's way. This is a bunch for the Gen 1. For some reason, I like the gen 1 chassis a lot. It's only right to start the alum. upgrade at the source of my collection.

but the one on my evo, its sick man. all i need for it is a fet upgrade and a v2 board.
i want to get more parts for my gen1 but money is tight rite now.

I saw quite a few of the Hummers in Germany though. Maybe they aren't so rare after all. Still glad that I picked them up though.
The Blue Mustang is on an EVO chassis, the one with the exchangeable crystal.

Just speechless dude. I'm truly in awe of your collection. Your next milestone should be having 3 copies of each body so you can display all of the bodykits at once... that'll beat Zippos collection by... well, a lot !

Thanks, it took a while. The blue Z is in fact very common now. I believe a dozen of us on here should have it already. But the Silver one is bit harder to come by. I think you have two, with the one you've just received. I only have one, and yea, it will be in the next update along with my orange Z and blue Zs

Took a bit of searching, but finally got my hands on a Blue Sky. My sources were/are Ebay (around the world, have to be willing to pay shipping though), Germany and Japan. Trips to these countries helped a lot. But I have no luck in Japan, always a day late. The last one was always sold yesterday (White NSX and the Subbis). One great source was Mr. Czech. He/She wasn't as bad if the price is right. haha

Can't say that. Zippo and the others on here are the reasons I look so hard, and I know I could only match them by numbers, and not quality. There are some great garage full of rare ones here on XMS.
But yea, I actually was planning on the three each for the Skylines. A silver, and two Blues are here in addition to the update above. But no blue mild body kit at XI, too sad.



To sum it up, the next update will be the the Z's in Silver, Blue and Orange.

Just bought another Z. I will wait for it before updating with the 350Zs. It's taking so long

A very much used HPI. Finally I have one. Just two more to go. Those will be tougher.

What is your total count of Xmods (all kinds, including just bodies) and total count of Mini Z (full cars and bodies)?

From what I can tell, unless I'm mistaken, you now only need a SLR, White and Yellow Suby, and a White NSX.

Now the white subby can't be have even at 3X that price. I was close on two occasions though. Oh well, it will come along.

I did want to buy some yellow mirrors off ebay or other sites and paint them. But it wouldn't be original. I am still having this battle in my mind, "Will Yellows do?"
I do want some yellow ones for my other two yellow NSXs though. Throw me something when you get a chance.

For model bodies, you should extend the chassis a bit. One or two gray color extension with the evo chassis should work. But the one in my collection is a Mini-Z, which is about the same scale. It basically need to be converted to the Xmods mounting system, and it is good to go.


It's been a while since the last update, when the last piece came in. I am still looking for a way to present all these xmods. I am leaning toward the idea of just placing all the Xmods out with the original BK, and take a couple of shots. I am not very creative. Any idea is welcome.

I would say in the thousand, but still abit far from ten thousands. That would be nuts. But like many of us here, I probably am. It's an addiction. Thanks and I sort of agree with you. Like the Silver Skyline, most of them have spider web cracks on the paint, and the Germany BKs fades as time goes by. I don't know what the deal is with that. Low quality paint maybe.
I Think the The Rare American muscle cars are only available from Carson, cus the Japanese stopped at Gen 1, I believe.
Anyways, am just glad to get something from the Deutschland.

September wasn't a good month for me; several items passed me on the bay, couldn't close deals (did close one great deal though, it will appear in a later update), and a couple of trades went sour - leaving me on the lesser side. Saw this little on YouTube a while back, and make a trade for it (Thanks XP234); The Nissan, not the "350Z", but the "Fairlady Z".

This one is from the Japanese release. This got me thinking, is there an orange counter part? I looked for the last three months,
the answer I got was NO. A friend with a brand new Fairlady Z from Japan confirm that the back of that orange Z is labelled 350Z. A little disappointed, but save a bit not to get it.

I dont have much money to play with so all i have are i think 8 of the extremely common ones. The only half rare ones i have are the blue subbie and transformers barricade.
