Hey guys, I'm new to the xmods world and am looking forawrd to this! My friend is going to buy me the Nissan GTR kit from radioshack tomorrow for a late Christmas present lol. The kits are on sale foe $25 right now so it is a great buy. A little backround on myself, I am a big car guy, I have 2 cars. A 99' Honda accord, and a 2001 Honda Prelude. I just recently bought the Prelude, and sadly destroyed the motor the 15 minutes after I bought the car.(It got Hydro-Locked) Now it sits in my garage until I decide to get the motor built. I work at Shoprite as night crew, and I am in a 60 day trial for a full time spot (Been there since June 07). I am part of a bunch of Honda forums so I know all the rules about searching and whatnot. Anyway, I feel that building/upgrading the xmod will be a good learning step to a real car, and will be lots of fun! I can't wait to get it! Looking foward to meeting everyone! My name is Ray btw.

Like you my R/C hobby started with real cars! I have an Eagle Talon Tsi AWD that I'm boosting 20psi on. I started with Xmods and now I race Mini-Z competitively.

Ah nice! I hopefully plan on boosting my prelude, but I need to find out what is wrong with the motor internally and if I am going to need a rebuild, then get the whole motor built up with forged internals. Also need to resleeve the block which is at least 1k lol. I can't wait to get my xmod! Will have pics most definitely of both my xmod and real cars!

Welcome Ray, I'm not big on the foreign bodies, but the Nissan GTR is a nice choice ;) If you really are a Viper fan, there's a cool one over in the projects sections some guy built :p

Hi, welcome to XMS, just one tip, only buy upgrades for u xmod with the spare change you have rofl, if not, ull end up poor at the begining if each month, geta adicting once u start lol, i cant wait to see some pix

Hah thanks! Well my first plans are to find my freakin' rechargeable AA batteries, and then buy rechargeable AAA batteries lol. But in all seriousness, I don't really know yet. I kinda wanna just play around with it first and maybe see if there is a mini z track around were I live.
