This project is where my girlfriend and I rebuild our MA-010s to be more competitive. We are going with a whole new image and new setups for our cars.

We shall start with mine.

The name originates from our Xbox live gamertags and general gaming/forum etc handles.

Hers is dirtymex (on xbox live its tDW dirtymex)
Mine is Action B (on xbox live its tDW Action B)

Clearly, the hybrid becomes DirtyAction Racing

So. I let the project begin. My goals here are.

1. New image
2. Weight reduction
3. Tweak setup for better performance

The body, I already painted it. Maya is going to overlay some custom paint over the original coat. I'll update it as it comes.

Original paint job: ****ty Rustoleum!

New Paint: Krylon Fusion plastic paint

I appreciate your kind words. I'm going to go with something that I created on Forza 2.

It started off as a joke and goes a little something like this:

THE MOST AWESOME PAINT JOB EVER!

Update:

Starting with weight reduction.

My Mini-Z weighs in at around 204.4 grams w/batteries and body

I'm going to reduce the weight of my car. I'm aiming for 180 grams track weight.

So, alloy looks nice and all but its time to think about functionality.

Modifications made today for weight:

Stock Driveshaft = 1.8g

Reflex aluminum Driveshaft = .6g
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4053/4304605558_e058aec9bd.jpg
= total savings 1.2g

3racing steering arm = 1.1g
Stock plastic steering arm = .4g = total savings = .7g

3racing front bulkhead = 2.1g
Stock plastic front bulkhead = 1.4g
Trimmed plastic front bulkhead = 1.0g = total savings = 1.1g

Hobby wire thick antenna = .7g
Stock xmod evo antenna = .2g = total savings = .5g

3racing steel swing shaft= 1.4g
stock swing shaft = .5g = .9g x 4 = total savings = 3.6g

Final product for the day? 7.1 gram weight reduction

Thats right the car now weighs 197.3g

Not bad for a single day. I've also got some special parts in the works with triple X that you won't find on any other MA-010 to make this car a real champion. In the end this will be a one of a kind project car!
