Are there any RCs with similar pricing and upgradability to xmods? With xmods potentially being discontinued, I want to look for another RC, but they are all so expensive, and I rather buy parts for my real car than pay the price i've seen for others haha.

for the price of xmods... nothing in a bigger scale.. maybe a used one but other than that.. nothing new except a micro-t which is i think $80.. and kevin.. mini-z=not xmod priced.. for $110ish you can get an XTM X-Celerator. its a 1/10 scale Stadium Truck... but never appealed to me

Yeah, with mycrors4 here, the Micro-T is $80, and since its diminutive size, the upgrades aren't that expensive (new motor is around $15, bearings around $10). Also, it's hobby grade and 1:36 scale.

Back on topic........ Definately an iwaver / firelap .. they are the same price and are mini-z copies (the old ones) the new ones are priced around $65 I think and are a new original chassis. they are a cheap rc but regardless what anyones says... they will still out perform an Xmod. Also RPMz are the same and cheap, but I have no experience with them.

carson radioshack hpi non of them make xmods they just distribute them

a car that is like an xmod can be modded like an xmod and upgraded like an xmod for the same sort of price ..................that would be an xmod :)

The RPMz come the closest in price to the XMods, in fact Tower Hobbies has them right now for $19.99 each or $38.98 for 2.

They are 1/24 scale so a little bigger than an XMod; they are around 8.7" long and 3.5" wide. They look like a larger version of the Mini Z.
Not sure about how much hop ups are available for it though; they don't seem to have websites devoted to them like the XMods and Mini Z's do.
