^ the gearbox just kills the ground clearance.

That's probably the BIGGEST flaw in the MZM and the OL.

Well, because of that, it gets stuck pretty easily,

Really, using some wheels that are a lil closer to the body will make life easier. Lol.

Strongly agree with you, lol.
/\ the lego tires must are barely any bigger than the stock ones otherwise you would be scraping the ground lol, WOW the mini z bodies totally kill compared the the xmods.
Yea, the lego tires on it are only few mm larger than the stock OL wheels, and yes, the details of the kyosho bodies are amazing, lol.

Lol, its ok Tim, I don't mind. As for the body kit wont be as wide as the wheels are, I will keep the body kit to scale. I also wish the chassis have the OL axles on it, but the owner was the monster axles for the wide stance. The chassis is about 114mm width.

Update: The F-150 is back from the chop shop. (All cutting are done by hand, no machine cutting.)

Started a new project for another member over MZR. Its another S2000 project from me. This one is very simple, just need a little body work and a new paintjob.

F-150 Update: Start to work on the front left fender, chopped up a lot of plastic and then fill it up with some putty. Also starting to add wheel well for the rear fenders.

S2000 Update: Have been spending a few hours into the front bumper, and this is how far I get now. Cut up the rear bumper for the exhaust and made the headlight looks more like the AP2 headlight.

Update: Just got the chassis back from the owner yesterday, so I started to work on it right after.

I installed some Bridgestone Desert Dueler tires on the chassis.

The new wheel well is really deep so when the suspension compress, the wheels won't rub against the body. (I still have the make the wheel well for the right side)

How is the clearance on the front tires? May be just the angle of the picture, but it looks like there could be a rubbing issue at compression?

Both tires are made by Aoshima, the Dueler are smaller than the Super Swamper, and compare to the Super Swamper, those Dueler are hard, but still have pretty good grip.

Thanks Kyle! On the earlier stage, it was sitting on a monster chassis with extended axles, but now its on an overland chassis, so I'll need to re-do the front fender, the front wheels does rub, its so bad that it can't even turn, I'll need it sand down the front wheel well and make the front wheel arches bigger, but for the rear, when the suspension are compressed, it have no rub at all. Here's a side view of the truck.

I got those Dueler from my Aoshima Pajero model kit. I charge $20 to work on any body, but it might be more depending on the job and you will need to pay for the materials.

No Problem. As for a widebody STi, I do plan on building one in the future, maybe ken's old gymkhana 06 STi.

Speaking of Xmodification, I wonder where's he, lol. He is the first person to inspired me to start my very first xtruck project. :)

Update: Got the front left fender re-build and also start applying putty on the rear right fender, as you can see...I'll have a lot of sanding ahead of me.

Thanks mycrors4, all I have to do on this truck is to finish up the body work and primer it, then it'll sent back to the owner, he will sent it to someone else for a racing paintjob.

Update: Most of the body work is done, just need a little touch up here and there. Primer tonight. :p

Update: Got the roof, tail lights, part of rear bumper painted black, added a cover to hide the front mount, chrome Honda badges, CF decal on hood. Still need to paint a few more tiny details.

Update: Its been a while since I update this thread. :o I got a bad news and a good news. Bad news is that, last time I used Dupli-Color clear as a clear coat, and it completely ruined the body, so I spend a lot of time sanding and primer the body. Good news is that its finally got back to shape.

Beautiful Job! Also do you remember by chance where you got the first CF Decal? I just loved how it was small enough to be scale CF pattern not like most i see.
Also, there is a Dupli-Color Ad at the top of my page as i'm writing this. LOL Just some keyword enabled ads i guess.

Thanks, I should have never use that Dupi-Color clear coat on Tamiya paint, even though I got it fixed, but now the paint seems a little thick to me.

The S2000 is one of my favorite car.

Update: Got a work request on an iwaver Saleen S7 body. I received the body few days ago, just got a chance to work on it yesterday. All I have to do is to clean up the body, total spend about 2 hours in it. (without counting the time for putty and primer to dry)

Thanks, I'll try to contact the owner of the F-150 to get some pics of it, but for the S7 owner wants to keep it in primer grey, his plan was to paint it gun-metal or something but after he seen the fixed up body, he deiced to keep it that way instead.

Update: Its about time I should finish up the S2000. I have been working on it for the past few days. I build a Mugen spoiler for it then applied CF decal on top. Still need to do a few touch ups here and there, then it will be finish and ready to ship back to the owner.

Update: The owner of the Mosler gave me a Ferrari 512 BB to work on to get the similar paint job as the Mosler.

wow.........the paint on the 512 and Mosler looks so good. Just like candy :D The skyline is looking AMAZING!!! Love the lip, and the GT-R wheels (I think...) set it off really well. You need to mass produce your work :)
Thanks WC, and you're correct, those are the stock GT-R rims on the R32. I would really love to mass produce my work, but those molding materials are expensive. :(

I'm looking forward to work on more customer projects in the future. :p

Thanks buddy, convert the Evo 8 to 9 isn't too hard, they both looks very similar, the only difference they have are the bumpers.

The owner goes to my local track, he bought that cop car in BNIB condition off another guy that goes to the same track few weeks ago. The same week he bought the body, he left it in his car, and his car got so hot, the heat inside his car melted the windows on the body.

Whatever happened it dosent matter because his building skills are awsome. ;]

Lmao, I understand how you feel, I was speechless when I first saw it, I had to smack myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. :lol: He doesn't bring the car out very often, so far I've only seen it 2 times in person. Yea its right hand drive and he got all the registration and paper work done, its 100% street legal, it have 600+ HP under the hood...

Thanks WC, the old windows are heated up so badly, its out of shape, so I made new ones out of lexan, it also weight less than the stock windows.

He may have a passing cam set up on the left side of the bumper for left turns/passing people.

It's not that hard to get a Skyline street legal, just a few modifications to make it more E-Friendly and you have it done. However, it's different in Canada, we can have Skylines no problem:lol:

That's about as long as a asian man, women, child can drive a vehicle over in China/Japan/Taiwan etc. then they have to buy a new vehicle haha:lol:

Though, I doubt the 15 year wouldn't matter. All you would need to do is be sure that the frame is clear of rot/cancer and the body is still in prime condition.:uhoh:

Anyhow, sorry for that off-topic item haha.

On the stock windows, inside the roof, Kyosho put glue there to hold the windows in place.

Dang..... great work, spoiler looks like it wasn't even broken at all. Does spoiler painted = the scratches on the bumpers painted too? I want that FC! xD

Question dealing w/ clear coat. I finally clear coated my R34 and Supra w/ some Model Master's high gloss. I left a light finger print near the side view mirrors. Do you know a way to get rid of that?

I don't understand... I really do not understand on where this bodywork is all going towards now...

I understand you went from an R32 to an R33(Am I right?:lol:) but now... You're just going out of this world with this amount of work... Unbelievable work my friend. I don't even think words can express how god-like this project is.

Now its time to take the body piece apart. First, the side mirrors were broken and were melted to the body and attached to a small nail.

Thanks WC! I really wanted one of those E92 M3 for myself, but the wheelbase really killed it for me. It have a 102mm wheelbase, same wheelbase as the Mugen Honda Odyssey. :o

Yea, that thing is almost as long as my Hilux! :lol: Correct, that E92 is made by iWaver. Kyosho does make a M3, but it's the E46.

Good catch! I accidently forgot about them. I got that fixed as soon as I saw your post. :p

From what I understand, that E92 M3 iWaver body is been discontinued. It was not my car, the owner of that M3 bought it off from another member over MZR.

well unfortunatley they dont have to 0mm in gunmetal but they have the chrome in 0.5mm will that be a problem on a stock?

If you using 0.5N all around, then you'll need narrow tires. If you use W rims, then you can use wide tires.

*N - Narrow
*W- Wide

Hopefully color0 will fit something in that big gap on the rear bumper, maybe something that have to do with the aerodynamic of the car.
