I am looking into getting a mini z 2.4ghz pcb, but can it be used with any radio? i already have a losi 2.4ghz and i was wondering if i could just bind it over to the pcb, or does it have to be a perfex kt-18?

The Mini-z 2.4 can be used with a variety of 2.4 radios. If its a hobby class 2.4 it should work.

How would you bind it then? for the losi you put in a chip into the receiver then bind, does the mini z pcb have a 3-pin slot? cuz the mini z has a button for binding

Oh. Well I didn't realize that. Their 2.4 units aren't ASF?

I really don't know about the losi 2.4 system. I just know that I've seen people use all sorts of transmitters other than the kt-18 with the mini-z 2.4 boards.

you will need either a KT-18 or a 2.4ghz KO-PROPO radio with a miniz module

so if i pop one of those mini z modules into my transmitter it should bind right? well anyhow i am probably going to get a perfex anyways, i dont wanna pay big $$ for a KO Propo , and i ma really diggin that motorcycle look of the perfex, thanks for the help anyways, is there a place i can get em cheaper than AM? I hear their prices are maybe $5+ than the original.

Mini-Z's ASF boards are not quite the same as a standard 2.4GHz system. You need to be sure that you get the mini-z ASF module that functions for KO Propo radios. You can also buy conversion boards to allow it to be used for an M8(Airtronics) and a 3PK(Futaba).

I used the ASF/Futaba 3PK combo and it was fine...

You could try becoming a member of mini-zracer.com and post a WTB thread for a perfex KT-18...
