Xbox 360 Transfer Cable

Hi I have been looking on ebay at Transfer Cables and i noticed that some had a cd and some didn't and i was wondering if that cd is needed or not

I believe you do need the cd if you want to hook it up to your pc to transfer data as the cd has the usb drivers but you can probably download the cd contents from somewhere.
