pinion question

A simple question:
When you put the pinion gear back on the motor, do you use any kind of adhesive to make sure it stays on? :-?

it should be fine by its self it is a pressed fit.

Once it is put back on the motor it will stay where you put it, that is why you need a pinion pusher to push it back in. Because the pinion does not strecth in size or anything like that.
