But holy cow it sure was fun.

Took it out to a friends BBQ who lives in the country and has tons of space to run.. well he has about 5 dogs that like to chase fast wild things.. you can see where this went.

Let me say those dogs were fast, and all of them were picking up the Slash trying to carry it off.. a quick blip of the throttle made them drop it and the chase was on again. I think that's the most fun I have ever had with my Slash, and I tore the crap out of the poor body. It's got a nice huge rip above the drivers rear wheel well. Hard to tell with the pic because it's a cell phone pic, my digi cam is packed away.

Anyone else ever terrorize a pack of dogs with their RC?

Sounds like it was fun for the dogs. not the Slash. Have fun with the repair process(at least the body)

The only thing i have done with dogs is strap a dog treat to the roof and drive it around otherwise My dog is scared of them.

I'm not worried about repairing it, I'm just going to beat it up until it won't stay on anymore and get another one. I don't care how pretty it is.

I definitely want to go do it again. Halfway through the second battery the dogs decided to go to sleep, I wore them out pretty good.

Edit: Winner, I know what you mean.. it was hilarious doing donuts in front of them, they kept trying to grab it but couldn't.. they eventually got a hold of it on the driver side window and tossed it. They are some strong dogs..

It was at dark, so there wouldn't have been much to see. :(

If I go out there again, I plan to take it. This time I will get video. It's hard as hell running from a dog who wants to kill your R/C and fighting to keep it straight in gravel.

I really tuned my drifting skills that night.

Edit: Jimtothejam, you should try chasing rabbits.

I saw one running around, so I started creeping my Slash through the grass, side to side like a snake.. he stood up and just started watching. I got halfway close and gunned it, that little bastard was gone but I kept up with him until he went around a corner and I couldn't see him. I was laughing so hard.

Ya gravel can be a real pain with the slashes. But it also makes it really fun I was in the country saturdat visiting family and there is a long gravel road. My cousin was driving the golf cart I was in the passenger seat driving the truck and it was outrunning the golf cart. But it got really dirty and I got home and spent alot of time cleaning the truck.

That sounds like a ton of fun. Reminds me of that endurance video for the Baja 5B where they run it 120 miles through a desert. That looked like so much fun because it's never the same terrain.. I want to try it but have no place to do it.

As for cleaning.. what is that? :uhoh:

I do probably need to dis-assemble and clean, re-oil and stuff like that.. I just would rather charge the batteries and go run though. I need to get better about the maintaining part.

I have gotten better at cleaning lately. The way I use to clean it was wait until it rained and then got drive it in the rain until the battery died then bring it in and let it air dry.
