I started to making the spoiler for it last night, and still working on it at the moment, below is a pic it's mock up. Comments are welcome.

This is shaping up to be an awesome body. You seem to have a real knack at customizing your bodies so they look like they came the way you made them. Can't wait to see the finished product. I hope you go with the orange paint. I really dig orange cars.

Okay, I haven't got much time to work on the Fit, have been busy with another project and a busy life. I have got much done on the Fit recently, I drilled out 2mm holes on the front turning signal at both of the front head lights. Also, order a brand new 2.4GHz AWD chassis with some brand new Kyosho parts to go with it, the chassis should be here before weekend comes.

Everyone has their own personal taste in cars. If you haven't noticed, he does have a 1:1 Honda Fit and adores that thing like no tomorrow. What he has picked is probably more unique then say a Supra or Skyline of some sort. What is your idea of being unique ?

there is something called a . and a , please use them thats like a huge run on sentence.

i like the fit its cool looking and im sure no one else would ever think they ever made mini z fits. He is a really really good builder and detailist(is that even a word lol) he pays sooo much attention to detail. He prolly has spent more money on his project than you have in all your xmods. This is because he goes all out until they look perfect. Plus its his call he thinks its unique and it is.

Does anyone else see the irony?

And yeah, a fit is actually a great car. Top Gear says so. Well, their moms do anyway.

But still, a Jazz/Fit is just a big Civic in a sense. Can be great if done right.

Sand down the rear bumper, 1st stage is done. Still need more work on the trunk though. Mounted an Aoshima model rims and tire just for fun, and does the rear bumper looks kind of like the 07 Honda Fit Sport's lip kit?

Lol at the turtle but your project is coming along nice, makes me have a completely different look on honda fits now.
That is one BA Fit dude. It was really an innocent little car when you started, now it looks like a modern update to the older Honda Civic Type R. This is going to turn out PERFECT!
That is one nice Fit.
Thanks guys!
The hood is looking great, X4L! Keep it up.

By the way, the turtle looks lonely. He needs a friend.
Thanks Donziikid! If I have left over putty next time, I will make another turtle.
Great putty work, but its starting to look like Element...
Thanks, and how does it looks like the Element?

Update: Not a major update, but spray a layer of primer on the body work, I notice I didn't do too good on the hood, not smooth enough, and theres some rough spot on the wide body kit, just need some sanding and it should be good, then I gotta do the wide body kit on the other side.

Thanks XMDrifter! After I add the putty on the body, I used a blade to cut off the extra putty, and once the putty is complete dry, I use 400 grit sandpaper to smooth it out.

Update: Started on another project few days ago, it'll be another Mugen Honda Fit Spec-D, the only difference is this new Fit is in 1/59 scale.

This is how it looks with the stock wheels.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0960.jpg

I don't like the look of those stock wheels, so I found some more detailed rims with rubber tires.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0966.jpg

Then I found some 2000GTR rims.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0968.jpg

And now it have some better rims, 5 spoke. Also start to work on the body kit.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0977.jpg

The stock ride height was too high, so I lowered it a bit.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk124/Dr_Kustom/Mini-Z%20MA-010/IMGP0978.jpg

Here's a pic of the 1/59 Fit compare to the 1/28 Fit.

Thanks mycrors4. I don't plan on turn it into a FWD though. Btw, the Honda Fit are available in FF and AWD.

More goodies showed up in the mail today. I should be able to get more work on the Fit today.

Update: Took it out for a spin on the snow today. Then get back to the shop and get some paint on the window trims.

That's just amazing. It's going to be hard to tell the difference between this car and the 1:1 by the time you're finished. If people took more time on their projects instead of slapping things together, they'd have something epic like this.

im still wondering how anyone can detail something that small with the carbon look...looking sick as usual Dr. Kustom, keep it up! :)

Update: This project is finally coming to the end, I painted the rear light house silver, and painted the rear wiper and front grill black, then I started to re-install all the detail parts...

is that a carbon fiber decal on the foglight housing + some decal fluid?

Dr. Kustom
02-11-2010, 11:11 PM
Thank you very much guys!

@ XMDrifter - For the CF decal, I just lay it down on the object's surface using water, then press the decal down to take take out all the water, then I applied a few coats of clear coat on it.

XMDrifter
02-11-2010, 11:39 PM
ah, i see. have you considered decal fluid though? it kinda softens the decal so it comforms nearly perfectly too the surface. a lot less hassle than cutting the decal and trying to get it to wrap all the way around

lol

Doood. How much TORK does the CF and rimz add meng.

Looking good. :)

Oh sweet, thanks for the info on the decal fluid, I'll get some next time and see how they works.

CF and rims added 1000hp, and 900 tork!

Dr. Kustom
02-13-2010, 09:20 AM
@ XMDrifter - I saw those crazy modeler dis brake, the details on them are amazing! But I don't plan on getting them for this project since I already have the Kyosho brake rotor installed.

Update: Most details are re-installed back to the body, now its time for some clear coats and then polish.
