we do need a decent entry count for this comp to go ahead as planned.
there's no set requirement yet but there has to be more then a handful of people entering or we'll be forced to move the prize to another comp. possibly the COTY(car of the year) in wich you'll have no chance to enter.

so please, let me know so i can get a count going.

I should hear no "if I'll get finished I'll enter." You all should have no problem what so ever when it comes to time since you still have the rest of June (eleven days) and alllll of July (thirty-one days!). There should be no time problems if you get to work now. Procrastination will not win you that $100 prize, my friends. ;)

i guess we'll run this thread until about july 15 and if no one else wants to enter then we'll have to defunct the prize.

at this point a red white and blue turd would qualify as an entry and place..........
if i have to, i'll enter something to keep the comp alive but i'd rather add my contribution to the prize and be a judge.

i'm curious though,why aren't people entering?

My chassis is fully done....
Its got power and ESC just no drive or steering....

So basically its not ready to be entered just yet but it will be done prior to the deadline.

Yea donzii, I wouldn't worry too much on no entrants, there's still a whole month till the deadline, even though some people might be done already like B1G, its jsut a matter of timing you know? If I showed an entry now and its amazing, then a month from now, its effect will have worn off and I have less chance you get me? lol, I'm sure thats how others are thinking.

im gunna try to enter but i owe people money right now (cant afforad paint) and theres some family issues and its causing me to travel alot....so im not sure if i can build it in time..... i even already have the model assemble and in primer and everything :\

Referring to the deadline update, does this mean that us entrants who already placed our entry in can have more time to rework it and/or just take some better pictures? Mine are in the rain because I had to force the pics today on a rainy day.

I dont run the comp, and I believe that is against the rules, but, go for it. I want the best car to win and losing due to weather problems during your photoshoot would suck.

Ya i agree with bart. I was woundering why you were letting your car get rained on. IMO it kinda mess's with the way the paint scheme looks. Good job by the way.

SkysTheLimit is our second place winner with a total of sixteen votes and Surgeon brings in third place with a total of thirteen. Congratulations to our top three contestants and we hope to see you in future competitions.

A large congrats to him as well as a thank you to everyone who participated. Another thank you to the patient voters who had to go through the trouble of weeding down all of the deserving entrants to one final winner.

We look forward to seeing what September holds for us. As a quick heads up, September will be an Open Class. ;)
