Just like the topic "Can someone recommend me a good boat?" I would like to see if someone could recommend me a good off road truck within the $75-150range. I pretty much want it for for having run and can withstand a beating. Links to the truck your recommending would be great!

Wayyy over the $75-150 price range. Lol. Although, I totally cannot argue. Great RCs.

What scale RC are you looking for, Sammy? A 1:18th or a 1:10th? A 1:10th will cost you around $150, in most cases more. However, you can pick up most 1:18th's for around or under $150. Although they are smaller, they are certainly capable of performing very well. Take a look at my Team Associated RC18MT (http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11373), which is a 1:18th scale, and my Traxxas Stampede (http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12385), which is a 1:10th scale. Both are very capable and around under $200 completely RTR. Those two are also one of the most popular selling RC vehicles for starter electric and are very easy to run, maintain and upgrade. ;)

Let us know what scale you're looking for and I can whip up a good selection just like the RC Boats thread! :)

Cheers,
Kyle.

donziikid-i like that stampede and i think you have me sold after watching your video of running it (great video quality BTW). Where can I pick one up from at a reasonable price? What scale is it? Do you have any direct links to it?

SPR-do you have any links to the trucks your talking about?

TowerHobbies.com now carries the Traxxas Stampede XL5 Waterproof (3605) version for $164.97. On top of that $164, you'll need to purchase a good quality SubC 7.2V NiMH battery, a NiMH battery charger capable of charging that battery and eight AA batteries for the transmitter.

The Traxxas Stampede is a 1:10th scale 2WD (rear wheel) monster truck. This beast is powered stock by a Traxxas' Titan 550 sized DC electric motor, the Traxxas XL5 Waterproof ESC and their AM transmitter/receiver set. With the included larger tooth pinion, you can easily reach speeds of over 25MPH with a good pair on NiMH batteries; possible faster.

Traxxas Stampede Page on Traxxas.com: Clicky. (http://www.traxxas.com/products/electric/stampede3605/trx_stampede3605.htm)
TowerHobbies.com Cost: $164.97 (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNJJ0**&P=ML)

If you have any questions let me know. I know the Stampede inside and out. ;)

Cheers,
Kyle.

This thread is oooold.. but I just saw this and  is all I can say.

Drive a 1:10 offroad, and then an Xmod modified for offroad. You'll see why he wants to go bigger. You'd be constantly walking to the Xmod to flip it back onto its wheels, and it wouldn't be able to do it at 25mph... I like to do it at 50.
