I just got my new Mini-Z GTR R35 in the mail today and am very excited to start putting some work to it. I also got the light kit and graphite front and rear box covers. I had no problem with the installation. Since this is my first Mini-Z, I was very impressed with how it was boxed up and how the chassis is set up.

My only problem is that the body doesn't seem to have any spots to add head and taillights. Is there a special way to install the lights, or did the new body just not come with slots for the lights?

Here are how the headlights and taillights look:

that doesn't help hmnbb,
i think you're supposed to drill light mount holes...?
but judging by what the tails look like, it doesn't seem like you can drill those out without destroying the outer surface...

I already got the headlights set-up. I have a plan for the taillights that I think will work awesome. I will post those pics after we have dinner and go see a movie

Here are some pics of what I did to modify the tail lights. The head lights were easy, just took them apart and made a hole big enough for the lights to fit through.

I had an extra light set from my Xmods so I decided to make 4 tail lights instead of just 2. I just used some plastic from a package and formed a rectangle out of it. Glued it together and cut some holes through it....

I then put black electrical tape around the boxes and around the back end so there wouldn't be so much light showing through the body, just the lights...

And here is what it looks like in the dark...

I know it's kind of cheap looking, but it works.
