Welcome, It is a blast to mod. Alot of great members here that have helped me out. The project threads, will keep you logged on. The COTM competitions will keep you motivated to mod. Alot of people on here selling and trading will give you opportunity to save $$ in this sometimes expensive hobby. All in all it is a great community. Again welcome.

PS- We all love Photos, and loath project threads without them.

Welcome to our side of the enchanted forest, where the magical Dum-Dum trees grow and there are marshmallows as far as the eye can see. Please do not feed the unicorns, as there are to eat the Cocoa Puffs you see growing in the meadows. Please keep your hands, feet, and bagels inside the vehicle all times, this will be a bumpy ride.

love,
imnotmikal

Oh yeah. Read the rules, eat, drink, and be merry.

You could always buy a 1/24 model kit and have a mini version of your car....

Just an idea, and there is plenty of ideas floating around on how to do it.

I would check ebay, I've seen plenty of kits on there both hardtop and top down. You may be able to find one at your local hobby shop, but Ebay is a sure thing. With the Miatas short wheelbase you shouldn't have to worry about extending the chassis.

The 97 is the year where they went away from the flip up headlights right? I would just check on ebay till you find the right kit at the right price.

The most difficult part will be mounting it, there are several methods from velcroe to front and rear clips(similar to the xmods stock system). Just look around and see what you think you can pull off.

Hi Stardust,

Welcome. BTW, I posted it elsewhere...but if you're looking for the headlight/tail light kit (A.k.a. Command logic light kit), check your RS for the Transformers Bumble Bee modification kit...RS is fire-sale -ing them for less than a buck...comes with the light kit for that price.
