Hey,
Looking to put a body (haven't chose which one)from my local hobby store on the the xmod chassis but need to know something. The store only sells 1/25th and over meaning there is nothing that is 1/28th. How much of a difference is there between 1/28th and 1/25th? Would a 1/25th body work on the xmod chassis without to much modification?

1/25 is bigger than 1/28. usually the only mods you need to make are lengthening the chassis and making some sort of front and rear clips.

Hmmm.I see people on here that don't have conventional xmod bodies. Are those usually 1/25th scale?(just trying to gauge the difference in dimensions)

yeah they're usually 1/25, that seems to be the standard model size. why radioshack chose 1/28th i will never know. like i said 1/25 is bigger so you shouldn't have a problem fitting everything underneath unless its a really low car.

1/24th is the normal model scale manufacturers use
amt/ertle use the 1/25th (as do others)

x2. 90% of the model body conversions are 1/24th scale.

They are normally about .5" to 1" longer than a xmod, So require a few chassis spacers. Then you just need to build front and rear mounts and thats it. Its not to hard.

But all companys scales are different. I just bought a 1/25th scale thats nearly to small for an xmod.
