I'll start with some pics:
8/8.5 penny ride height(stock/full ride height with springs):

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd245/fieldfairy2/Micro%20dt/174-7496_IMG.jpg

less than 5(just a little bit) penny ride height:

foams

wedge body(looks like the late model):

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd245/fieldfairy2/Micro%20dt/174-7499_IMG.jpg

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd245/fieldfairy2/Micro%20dt/175-7501_IMG.jpg

I haven't driven it yet, but i am already impressed.

thanks

Since those above pictures, I have:
-trued and trimmed the foams
-cut out the body
-body is getting ready for paint
-got the paint
-blew a differential:p
-replaced the diff
-broke in the new diff

ohh and the foams are smaller than the street meats(i thing they are about the same size as the stock micro t tires), so the ride height is almost bottoming out.:p

Operation: Black Widow
will have a micro t first and second, that no one has done/done again(lol).

You can take your guesses at paint a the "first and second" things, for now it is secret. I hope to get some stuff done for the cotm. and get some stuff from xi

I'll keep you updated, and thanks, all comments welcome.

Cool can't wait for more pix. I really like that car, nice hop-up work. Im not familiar with the Micro-T (I know what they are, just never had one) They look pretty fun. I might have to get one.

either can i.:D Thank you. They are really fun and durable, the onlything i have had break is the occasionally solder joint(motor) and the differential. I have the longer chassis version(Desert Truck), they can't wheelie stock but have more batteries/modding options.

Update:

well i think base coat is done, next is to take off the tape, and next coat, then a couple other details and i am done, besides cutting the body holes:)

now you're painting this from the inside right?

No, just kidding, yes i am, it is my first time cutting a lexan body and painting it.:) i don't think for my first lexan paint job it isnt bad. the over spray film was ripped in a few spots when i got it, and the stupid window masks i got wrinkled, but didn't bleed, too bad, if you can even see it:D

Update:

paint. the wheels are actually smaller than a stock t. and the wheel wells are made for the stock DT tires which are bigger than the t.

i tried to make a "black widow hourglass" marking on the grill.;) as for the headlights, i have no idea how they smeared, but it looks like they are working.

thank all comments welcome

wheel well cuts look rough, but other than that, great job. i'm thinking that you should go back to the stock wheels and stretch the tires over them to fill in the holes a bit better.

I might go with the stock t tires(bigger than the foams, but smaller than the dt), the cuts arn't that bad, but it is my first. Thanks man.

I went with the bb2(ball bearing, 34t motor) instead of my secret. FOR NOW! i am just low on funds.

With the suspension lowered this thing stays on the ground no wheelies but that can be change in like 30seconds. (higher the ride height) this thing is easy to control, lots of acceleration. once the motor was broken in this thing flied(and still does) hasn't flipped, yet.

stay tuned.

this was the first race i did on a closed course with my micro. As you can see it needs some tuning as well as my driving. Micro racing starts at 5:22

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef6gbL6fLP0.

This is with Micro-T Master(thetoyz and micro tforums) and a local.

I have worked on my skills and tuned the car since then. Except i have no videos.

I guess i will see you in the summer. They will try to start in April(weather permitting). I have a Black Losi Mini Late Model i will be racing in the summer too. I race the late model, xmod(track v2.0, and this micro dt in indoors.)

You should wait til they set up the X pattern track.

I still need to get a new motor for my chassis.

Ya see you out there!
(I will probably be the only one with a flat black Lexus body)
