Well it finally came in on Friday...

I wasn't really much of a fan of red, since my R-34 was white. But red is growing on me and I think that it goes well with the Lancer Evo X body.

This will be one of my first projects that I have put up for everyone to see, but I think I will keep this one very subtle with very little parts to it. Because out of the box these are great little R/C Mini's to own.

Only thing I'd say is get white bodies for projects and enjoy Auto Scales for their crispy, finished looks. Otherwise, cook up something worthwhile.

So today I have been a little busy...

I put in my AtomicMods Ceramic bearings that I have had for about three years, I think. But their still awesome and perform like no other. Lot of people think that its silly to buy something that expensive but I think its well worth the money and these have lasted me a long time.

Next thing I did was ditch the stock plastic universal with my Atomic Ti Universals. Also I beefed it up a little more by doing a " blade " type modification to them all so they don't slip out of the differentials, which is very rare, but I went ahead and did it.

I went ahead and drilled the hole on the bottom instead of up top. Little unorthodox, but it makes for quick access not even take the body off the chassis to adjust the diff.

Nice idea with the diff hole on the bottom. Wouldn't you be concerned about any kind of debris getting in there? The hole should be small enough, but still, you never know.

Yesterday, I got some time to set my RCP Xmod Track that I have never fully assembled or even taken the time to figure it out. But yesterday I did. It said it was 11 feet long and 6 feet wide but I dont I assemble it right still.

Very boring wide oval... But it was fun and its the proper way to run a Mini Z and beats carpet.

I got them direct from KyoshoAmerica awhile back . There seems to be different "types" too. I just havent seen them yet.

KyoshoAmerica still has them too...

Stiffened the ride up a bit by putting some Atomic gold springs in. Also I sanded the tires a tid bit.

Painted the wheels that come with the chassis set. I dont think I will use these on there, that silver color just doesnt look like it goes well with a red car. Might be using it for another readyset in the near future. Watch and see.

I have been having a little problem with the rear spur gear slipping while its throttled up. I have tried 0.02 washer behind the front pinion and then also behind the rear spur gear. But I have found with the shim on the rear is tends to not mesh the gear right and ends up binding sort of.

Then became extremely bored the other night, and took some steel wool to my motor and shined up real nice!

Dont look for anything to drastic to the chassis or the body, Im not putting ridiculous money into this one. I want to see how much I can go through before the chassis is torn up and what kind of performance it can do with minimum upgrades.

don't set it up too hard or it will traction roll
