That would end in catastrophic meltdowns.
The ground would open up and hell would spew into the deep crevices of the world we called "XMS."

No, but for real, this topic has come up before, let me see if I can find the thread.

Contact an Xmodsource Staff Member (http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13088) immediately with any forum issues. We're here to help make this forum run smoothly and efficiently. To do this we need help from all ends of the forum; administrators, super moderators, moderators and members alike all need to pitch in to keep this forum running smoothly. We do not always catch everything and that is partially why the "Report Post Button" ( http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/images_pb/buttons/report.gif) was instated as well as Private Messaging (http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/private.php). With these two features, the Staff can more easily contact members causing trouble and fix the problem as soon as possible. Do not be afraid to message us with any problems. ;)

Now, on to the topic of self editing and deleting other member’s posts. My main problem with this idea is members will more than likely delete other members posts; many of which contributed to the topic and informational. Sadly, not everyone can be trusted with such a feature, especially the random bots that love to destroy public online forums by posting spam. It’s a great thought and could do wonders when used properly, but sadly, not everyone would treat this feature properly and with respect.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Just because they are an elite member does not mean they are a responsible member. It does not take that much rambling and horrible behavior posts to rack up enough to gain elite member status. Sadly, again, not everyone can be trusted with such a feature.

What about if the thread maker has a firm reason, like being off-topic or,spaming? is that post report button time?

Report or private message, yes.
