metal bodys arent the best for xmods because they are so heavy. but if you can find a 1/28th-ish scale body it should fit rather well. Anything that is 6 1/2" long will fit just about perfect. Then its just up to you to make custom mounts.

1. find a model body to your liking
2. make sure the wheelbase is correct (if not, modify)
3. To install mounts....using an old Xmod body you wont be using again, simply cut off the rear one right out of the body including the black clip with (1) screw holding it in place.
4. Custom mount made for front clip to slide into your new body.

its all real simple, but takes some planning, thats all!

I'll add my own question here: how wide is 1/28 selection out there? Thats a really odd scale and I don't remember seeing too many aside from the 4$$-expensive Mini-Z's.

1:28's are tough to find... much better off going with a 1:24 / :25 / :26 those can be easily adapted to fit an XMOD chassis.

ive actually found quite a few 1:28th scale. But its not the scale you should worry about the most. theres 1/24 scale that fit perfect, and theres 1/28th scale that are to small.

Most places will list the actual dimensions of the body. You want a body thats as close to 6 1/2" long as you can get. shorter bodys will need a shortened chassis, longer bodys will need a little bit longer chassis. extending is normally pretty easy. shortening well thats a problem lol.

If you have a long chassis, most normal honda, nissan, toyota, subaru, mitsubishi, etc. model bodies (the older models like the models of classic american muscle cars will be longer, so the chassis will have to be extended)
