yes, atomicmods.com is a very reliable site!! you will need lithiums to run that motor as well as a fet upgrade. you may also consider the v2 board.

also if you are going to run this motor. you will need to get an AWD kit and bearings. the plastic ones will be useless. if i were you i would also get the carbon fiber drive shaft.

Atomicmods is reliable. Ad you do not need Lithiums to run that motor it just performs alot betetr with them and you do not need a V2 to run the motor or 2 lithiums.

blacksky is right!! you don't HAVE to have them but for the motor to reach it's potential you would need the liths, and fets. otherwise it really wouldn't be worth it to buy just the motor. that's just my opinion.

If you don't want to do fets and this is being put in an xmod monster truck, I would use either the stock motor, or if you have a pinion puller, a Crest Spinbrush motor.

i have an extra spinbrush, so you are sayin a tooth brush moter can do it

just get a 180 size motor they hav alot of torque and fit the xmod if u remove the other little plastic thing that stops the motor from falling back i hav a 180 size in my car w/o fets or lithium and it out drifts everybody i no w/ only 4.8 volts but the top speed is not the best and at your local hobby shop itll prob be around 5 10 dollars and if your making a monster truck youll need metal cup joints just incase u didnt no

But you need to have a pinion puller so you can swap the pinion onto the toothbrush motor.

I had a lot of problems trying it that way. The puller is the single best way to remove the pinion without damaging the motor.

The spinbrush is fine, and so is the puller, so long as it's small enough.
