I got my MRCG chassis awhile ago and it's really awesome!! My plans for it will be to build a Pro-racer mini-z, at the moment it's just the chassis with a G'ZOX Fairlady Z Autoscale body but as soon as I get the electronics and batteries i'll update it ya'll with a video of how it performs.

Here's the pics of the chassis and a few others pics:

I'm looking to get mini-z electronics maybe with stacked FETs, a custom built motor, and some lith-ion rechargable AAA batteries. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I get the electronics and all the other stuff.

Thanks for watching guys!

how does the steering work?

ackerman concept

torredo, the ackerman concept is not what makes steering work.
ackerman is just the principle that the inner tire has to turn in a tighter circle, so as the wheels turn, they need to toe out.

what i was asking was how the mechanism works. hold the...i see, when the servo turns, it pushes the plastic rod, that is helt in the little U shaped thing. and when the servo turns more, the FRP flexes a little and causes the tireod to shorten, causing the steering to exhibit the ackerman thingy

idk if its right, i just thought of that.

yea, theres a bar that runs across to each wheel, the servo has an adapter that is in place with a screw/nut the moves the bar across.

not hard to see how it runs mechanically especially for someone that know what Ackerman is?

Get foam tires for it!

XMD: lol wut? Tierod flex won't create Ackerman angles, lol, that's decided by the geometry of the steering link (in this case, the tierod).

As far as MRCG vs. Sinister goes, they only look similar. The Sinister was developed on rubber-surface tracks so it doesn't hook up well at all on RCP, whereas the MRCG has nearly as much traction as an AWD (and a lot more corner speed, if you've seen my two race videos). There are still several kits available if anyone is interested. :)

Ok, I took some time out to finish up this thing - I basically strip my MA-010 Drifter of it's ASF Board and dropped it into this one -lol.

I'll let the pictures do most of the talking for now:

Thanks D-man! Yeah, they are JDR li-ion pak - I took the lazy route for this one since I never have time to deal with soldering batteries together :bigwink: .

It runs like a hot knife cutting through butter  . I gotta give some big props to Color0 for designing such a high quality and great looking chassis - it surely is a step up in the Mini-Z Racing Experience and did I mention how good it looks?! :D
