How to make a stock X-Mod into a rally car?

Stop adding large tires, they don matter.

You need clearance, AWD and torque.

Yes, larger tires will give you some clearance but your better off raising the entire chassis. Look for body lifts in the search feature. In addition to this you can add larger tires, but so long as your running RWD your only gonna spin tires in sand.

ya hes right! ill post my rally car a little later once i get the other truck knuckle i need. so far the rear is done. the rear is realy easy to modify, the front is a pain in the @$$! but theres a ton of ways to raise the suspension on a car chassis. but ive never tryd a gen rally car?

well strech the springs and you'll have better clearance... use the off road upgrade tires and do a body lift... also get high torque gears... the 8-25 ratio is good for high torque

Well If you have a gen.1 and you do, you can put off-roading tires on it.

ok. so since this car was mostly built by me i will help you out. right now it is running a medium length awd chassis with a stage two drift motor. the bigger tires he is talking about is a stock set off a titan. for some reason the car runs like it is jammed but after several break downs and rebuilds it is still not running right. the electronics were replaced once and thats not the problem. please post ideas. btw everything was lightly lubed during the rebuild.

EDIT:
Btw i forgot. he doesnt quite know that a g35 body will not be fitting on his gen 1 chasis and i have yet to have told him.

get off road kit tires... they will give you most grip... and use a 180 motor...

if you are making your camaro in to this rally car then raise the rear end, and the camaro body will fit truck wheels, if you can get treads for the slammed wheels get them.

Get bigger tires obviously. I would say try a new suspension idea. Just think about it, anything is possible. For gods sake people make coke can heat sinks

hahaha thats awesome. i never considered a coke can heat sink. anyway, lets try stripping it back down and cleaning all the pieces off then reassembling it using some grease or something. then we can start over.
