How does it work? Good or bad? Was it worth it? And whats better, Gear box or this?

The diy mini tuner motor is a micro motor with a gearbox fit into a 130 size motor. i looked up the "Sanyo" motor and found it under a "Sanyo Gearbox". To me it looks like there are a couple different gear boxes: 10:1, 50:1, 100:1, 150:1 etc. I don't know exactly which one it is and these has 3mm out put shafts no 2mm. Just my thoughts.

It looks really good, Once i get some of my projects finished, then i will get this motor and possibly test it against the tamiya universal gearbox.

i don't have the tamiya gearbox yet. but i will get one to do a comparison. i personally like this on just for the simple fact that all you have to do is solder motor wire tabs to it and drop it in and its good to go. i see the tamiya gearbox taking a lot more modification to fit and the possibility of it being really top heavy. but i cant say for sure until i get one. hopefully this next week. and i personally think it worth the money.
