hey, the antenna being outside the body is the best way for the car to recieve the transmitters signal. If you tried to put the antenna inside the car your car would go less than 10 ft before losing the signal

to get better radio range, id buy wire the same size as the black one in the car, and then get rid of the metal one, and use an eye connector, red, and then thread it through the body. use a long thin straw such as a coffee stirrer to support the wire.

i striped the screw on the antenna, i dont even have an antenna on my car..lol i goes and works just fine..

get th ends of th broken spot really hot amd put them 2geter and drop somr water on it 2 cool it off faster then wrap electrical tape around th spot where u welded em 2gter :) :)

could you not get those things that they make for cell phones to boost your signal strength and put one on the car and one on the reciever?
