Nope it's not a spelling mistake :) I honestly did mean to type ZXTruck.... anyways I need to come up with some more imaginative but for now here is the story, I had a Nissan Titan with custom lift on a chassis with custom tires and the off road lift kit but no ESC, I recently did a trade with Spoon Tunner for a couple of Mini-Z boards and last night was bored enough to attempt to put on in the Titan! Amazingly it worked.... :o I know I was surprised to! So without further ado I present my ZXTruck:

The ZXTruck current runs:

Mini-Z MR-02 ESC + Servo
4 x 100MAh AAA batteries
Custom body lift
RS Off Road Lift
Custom tires with Deep Dish Rims
GPM Springs
Losi Pro-Controller
Stage 1 motor with orange gear setup

I plan to do more to the truck, i.e. tidy up the wiring but this is basically a pre-cursor to another car I am working on so I needed to learn a new skill and this was my test bed.

Comments welcome on this some what stock but semi-pro truck :)

awesome dude, great work, definitely tidy up the wires, and throw Bondo's bump-steer mod on there and you'll be good to go

I'll rip it all apart over the weekend and tidy it up and if I get a chance I will add Bondos mod to it! :)

The motor I put in makes it OK - no really crawler power though - trying to improve on that motor to get more crawling abilities so will keep you posted....

Be sure to add a video of it soon too! I always wanted to see how a truck handles with the mini-z board compared to the evo board. Nice work btw - experimanting never hurts especially when you get great results  :D .

Isn't the Z board so much smoother then the stock board, lol? Looks good. Time for some high torque motors ;)

OK updates on the truck! It finally made it to paint!

I tried to be a bit fancy with the paint and attempted to use a textured / effect paint, however it didn't come out as planed and what I ended up with was a fairly stock looking paint job.

Now personally I think the paint job is the best I've ever done unfortunately I have to admit though that my taping skills have gone down hill a bit! In part due to the new type of tape I was using! I'll need to do some touch ups with a bit of black paint but otherwise I am really happy with how this turned out!

But anyway enough chit chat and on with the photos, oh and at this point I should point out that I can't take an indoor photo to save my life! I'll have to hope for sun rather than rain so I can get outside and take some decent snaps!

Thanks I still have to clean it up a bit but the paint has a very rough edge to it so I'm still not 100% certain what I'm going to do.... but I'll keep everyone posted!

the mini-z board is hobby grade, meaning unmatched smoothness and performance copupled with range, reliability, and the like
xmod boards are not hobby grade, so the fall way short of the mini-z boards.

btw, has anyone done a revell rpmz board swap before? the rpmz seem to be another copy of the mini-z mr-02, and are comparable to the iwaver and mini-z, just it's at 1/24th scale
the tx looks to be pretty good as far as i can tell, and the handling would be miniz-esque if i could get a diff and grippier tires on there

i know ppl 've said a hundered times, but...nice paint! i got a whole new respect for the titan after seeing it in that color...IMO it look twice as good if the KC were white on black rather than black on yellow,BTW what is bondo's mod everyones talking about?
