It is finally here, sort of. I don't have pictures of the build process since it was done when I was moving and had no internet, but here are some pictures before I paint it and what I am going for.

Here is what I wanted to go for, and exactly how I am painting it; white with the fenders and bumpers black:

Roof rack and accessories thanks to RCH Blackfoot:

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0706.jpg

Chassis:

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0711.jpg

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0712.jpg

Four link on the front, works great.
http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0713.jpg

Rear has leafs, but will be changed to a 4 link also:
http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0714.jpg

The paints:

Flex Shot:
http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0709.jpg

After priming:
http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0724.jpg

So I just have to paint it, and secure the body since it is only sitting on the chassis, and work some minor details out, like the major rubbing on the front, and electronics neatness.

Hope you like it so far.

WoW! That thing is a beast! Can't wait to see more!

Thanks man! I'm painting this weekend, so I'll update it.

Here are the specs:

TLT Axles
MFM Racing Chassis
Axial AX-10 Transmission
Futaba 3PM
Futaba S3003 Servo
Hilux Wheels and Tires
Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero Body
LRP ESC

AeroSynch

I changed out the leafs and made a 4 link for the rear.

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0747.jpg

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa297/AeroSynch/CIMG0751.jpg

So I got the electronics mounted up, and since it is 4WD now, it is finally a runner. I had to shorten the driveshafts by .25" on both of them to accommodate the wheelbase and transmission placement. I also am going to make a mount for the transmission out of styrene. Do you like my GhettoCAD skills?..
It has nice flex for a scaler.

looks amazing dude, almost too good to get dirty haha, but 1 suggestion if i may, you should either move the spare tire in the roof rack to the rear, or get another tire/wheel like the one in the roof rack to put on the rear. i think it would look better with more than just a wheel cover on the back of the truck. great setup though, wish i had one like that

Ehh..it depends. Size, colors, etc. I guess for an Xmod it can be a good price. This one wasn't so cheap being at 1/10 scale and using actual car paint.

If you want to give it a little more detail, I'd suggest painting the badge on the front grill red instead of having it black and blending in with the rest of the grill. Just food for thought.

Love the two tone with the simple colors. Looks good, but probably looks better dirty. ;)

Not a very pretty price:

TLT Axles - $100
Pajero body set - $100
Chassis - $60
Electronics - $100
Wheels and tires - $40
Scale Accessories (lights, rack, etc) - $50
Suspension, links, and drive components - $50

Yup. Ever since Tamiya discontinued the TLT Kit the axles have gone up in price. But Tamiya is going to start selling the axles by themselves soon enough. RC4WD.com also has some nice looking axles for $100.

Yup, Scale 4x4 is where I hang out, and it is a great site. Thanks for the comments. She does have a lot of flex for a scaler, so I'll have to remedy that later. Don't worry, I'll get a video of her in action. :bigwink:

It depends. What kit are you talking about? The AX-10? I find it better to build it from scratch because you get to select every single component and know it inside out. It rounds up to around the same thing.

Aero, what year is your pajero?

And is this it? http://shop.tinyrc.com/d_images/KYO-MVG5W-a.jpg

I don't know the exact year but it is between 1993 and 1996, or something like that. The one in the link is the newer one, but it can work. It's just more round.

Took it outside but to my dismay there are animals called mosquitoes that like to suck your blood and bother you, so I only snapped two pictures before I ran back inside.

Either that Pajero is smaller than it looks, or you have really tall grass.

Tall grass. Pajero is 16" x 8".

Hence why it's electronically controlled. You open the door, throw it outside (with it on), close the door and drive from the safety of your house. :)

No, it's not as crazy as it sounds, I do it during the winter all the time.

You could wrap your self in blankets or whatever and make eyes holes to see and breath out of! Or you could get some bugspray. I don't remember the mosquitoes being that bad when I was in Florida...but I guess there is a lot of water.

OMG....you could make a bugspray flamethrower and mount it on the Pajero! That will keep em away....well maybe not from you...but the Pajero will be mosquito bite free  :roll_eye:

Today I went a actually used the Pajero in some terrain...sand. Did good, but the tires could be better. And the suspension is still soft, causing rubbing when turning under some flex. I took all the pictures with my phone. The video was also from the phone, so please excuse the crappy video quality. Moreover, it's hard to drive while recording with a flip phone..

I think I fried the receiver, because it doesn't turn or drive. I tried to blow dry it, but then when I turn the wheel it accelerates? Any ideas? I hate to shell out $50 for a new Futaba R153 receiver.

You might have just plugged in your JST plugs incorrectly. ESC goes to channel two and servo goes to channel one. That should clear up your problem unless it's something internal. ;)
