Proj. '92 Mustang Droptop

Well thought of starting this little project today this is a '92 Mustang GT Convertible. This is what I have done so far, I cut out the inner wheel wells. I might lower just a lil bit more just for the compensation of my custom clips that I will make plus think it still is a lil bit to high in front I think, back isn't a problem can adjust anywhere I want. Comments!!

I'll see what I can do wanted to put the white walled tires on an xmod rim but they are to small unless I really strech them out. I never made custom rims but I have read the tut on how to make them. If I do might paint them right now they are gold.

Not 100% sure if I will make those rims as of right now trying to think of what I want to do for paint may know for sure down the road when I have time to do those extra things.

Looks like a floor mat from a Ford vehicle.
It is a floor mat, I'm going to put them in my truck but as of right now there is no point so I put them on the floor in my room.

I redid this Mustang about 2 weeks ago, was red but the paint sucked (btw I didn't paint it red LOL). Open for suggestions might try to buy some paint tomarrow.

I might actually do that one I don't really have a blue that bright that isn't metalicy, Have Midnight blue like how I did my '67 vette (my signature). I really want to paint it right now but I just don't have much for paint I have yellow, midnight blue, 3 different metalic blues, almond, fourecent green and pink, white and brown that I used for my Bronco didn't liek those paints though semi gloss sux, and more that don't work or the paint is so old it won't dry right. I just have to see what other paints I can find. Got the update self explanatory. Still in mock up stage.

Well guyz I have an update on the Mustang Painted it today just half of the paint though. Going to put gray on the bottom 1/2 of the car yet. The paint is Deep Maroon NOT purple, it's a really deep dark red. I couldn't get a decent picture of the paint at all the dark picture is probably the closest to what it actually looks like.

My paint isn't as smooth as yours want to put a clear coat on it really bad but just afraid that it may screw up the paint may try it on somthing else first. I know in the pics may look like a barney mobile but not in person may take some outside pics soon to get better color.

Well I suppose some of you have been itching for some more pics. Here are some outside pics. Now these show the color that it really is. I got my Scion body today so I was testing that out and had those rims on when I switched to the Mustang I actually think that those rims look really Sweet on it.

I guess I'm just making look like what I think is cool, lil both. Like this maroon isn't the maroon that Ford used, theirs was a much brighter color. But I think this color looks pretty cool on it. All I have to do yet is put some paint on the tail lights, super glue the top on, put the plastic windows in, and finish up the motor and that should be it.

stock had the rack in black, i didnt want the gt lights, so i have to make do, and yes the window will fight back

i did that on mine, the glue is not the problem, its the fit, because the car does not have a hard top, the mold bends when its put in the box, so you get it a little messed up. its not noticed til the window goes it

Also, are you going to tint the windows ?? So Vanillla Ice gets jealous,lol. Actually if you tint the windows, you wont be able to see the chassis on fire as you go down the sidewalk dragstrip,lol.

I wanted to have it so I could have the top down and put some interior stuff in it but the body sits so low on the chassis it's pointless, so the top is going to stay up

Thats what I did to my windows the only thing is that they turn all foggy.

No, just going to leave them clear. Well I got the motor all finished, tail lights half finished, and I need to put the top on for good yet.

I wish I could but the plastic lens isn't clear anymore it's cloudy and scratched up from scrapping the old paint off so I could repaint them. They won't look to bad once I get the red paint on but yea it'll be a lil more work. I don't really care though.
