Not sure if this is the right place But I think I want to start finding a model car to use on the X-mod. So any thoughts of ones that we know will work?I know these are 1:28 scale, but there has to be a few that work. Thanks

Any model will work with modifications but, are you asking what model bodies fit the Xmod wheel base?

Car or truck? There are many trucks that fit the wheelbase.

Cars, 1/24 VW Beetle, 1/24 Datsun 510, the Ford escort rally, The 1/24datsun 240zx, 300zx, the 240sx is slightly longer than the mustang/g35 wheelbase.

An AE86 Levin or Trueno will fit the Mustang wheelbase.

Look at the hobby sites, many of them list the length and width of the kit. Depending on the model( some have big bumpers etc.) you can kind of forecast whether or not it will work. 5.5-6 inches would be a good length to aim for, but you may have to shave wheelwells to make it work. Generally this limits you to compacts.

You can also look at one off RC's. There are three brands that come to mind that can be put to an xmods wheelbase, the TOMY Rc's, Real Drive mini, and Audley tin racers.
