Well i have a couple of side projects and i am going to work as much as i can on this one. It is a model car and for the chassis not much. I am just doing a body.
Guess the model car!!!

Sorry for the bright light. The body is cut so it fits on the chassis. I will post better pics if somebody guesses the right car. I am farther on this project than the pics.
The people i told what this car is don't say it.

Yes it is a 1988 fiero gt model but i am using it as a 1986 gt. The only difference between the 88 and 86 gt models is the suspension. There are no body differences. THe putty is still drying. It is about mounted i need to get the clip in the right spot so i can glue it down.
thanks for the comments.
sweeet deal. always kinda wanted a fiero, they just always had that ferrari look to it. kinda cool. want to swap a ej25 into it since i saw one swaped into a 70's porsche 914 (pretty much the same as a fiero)

Thanks,
update:
it is mounted. The rear sits a little higher than i'd like but in real life fiero's
from the factory came like that.
Pics
front mount The tape is so that the front of the car is even(dremmeled to much on one side)

rear mount

the body taped together on the chassis.

I tested it on the chassis and it runs perfectly and the motor is really quite but pretty fast for stock. I am in the process of gluing the body. Tomorrow i am going to get the paint and hopefully start painting.
all comments welcome.

I'd try to lower it a little. Looks unnatural currently, IMO.
But good progress so far! ;)

Thanks
I know it sits high. The front i can lower anymore and the rear i can't either because the rear vent hit the motor and well i just don't want to screw anything up too.
There are 3 realistic things about the fiero on on xmod. 1. it is mid engine. 2. it is light (no wonder it is fast, stock) 3. the rear sits up high

I knew that..
Prolly how he knew,is your photobucket ac**** is unlocked,so if anybody types in your account name, then anybody could see all your pics..
Its looks ok.Are you going to make it into a nice drifter oir a street car ??
yeah sits to high, but if u can fix it, well then i guess we all gotta deal with it. lookin good though.
little tip when taking pictures. stand back, and zoom in, dont have it zoomed out all the way and move the camera in close. it will focus better and you'll get less blurry pictures that we can actually make out what were looking at.

Thanks guys.
Well since the rear clip fell off i dremmeled down the rear clip and reglued it so now it should be more sturdy and hopefully lowered a bit.
snowboi: how do you lock your photobucket account? This is going to be my dads xmod. He had a fiero. So no plans. But bearings and some gpm. Anyways i can't get a new motor in. It rubs the grills in the rear, that is why it sits so high
spr: Thanks. I do that but the problem is i can't get good light.
