well, my friend decided to do a paintjob for a customer using a BRUSH. no spray, masking with packing tape..."oh my god" i said.

even worse...his dad's doing th painting, and he's a canvas painter. ugg brush stroke line to infinity

so any helpful hints on making him not ruin a helpless little Bumblebee that DOESN'T BELONG TO HIM?

just a steady have i painted one of my spare scions by hand didnt come out to bad

tell his dad to try it on a spare body first :lol: Well, if his dad's a painter then it shouldn't turn out bad.

Well, just tell him to take his time. I've seen a few bodies get painted pretty well by brush.

well, it's that it's his very first time, and no one in his family has knowledge of car painting. He use packaging tape as his masking...you think he's gonna take his time? he didn't even take the time to go find masking tape.
i told him to wait first for me to get him some good masking tape, but he says "I'll just try spray painting next time" meaning, he's not even listening.

Depending on the packing tape, it can actually work better and has less of a tendency to bleed than masking tape.

If he is a canvas painter, maybe he is going to do something custom like Blown's work. If not he should deffinately invest in some sandpaper.
