This one looks pretty cool, I'm in the process of downloading it/trying it out so I'll tell yall how it is.
I actually saw something like this on an unmetioned forum but the free trial was gunna take like 30mins and I couldn't be a$$ed waiting up as it was quite late. The one I saw a while ago also looked like it would get quite repetitive after a while so we'll see how this one is :bigwink:

I'll try it after I'm done making custom Guitar Hero songs. :D

I downloaded it a few months ago. How do you play without the controller?

EDIT: Did you also hear about the concept for VRC Off-Road?

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 05:32 PM
you may need to redownload it and set it to save and not to run program that could be a problem, and have it save to your hard drive.

and my best lap record is 6.2 seconds

I used to play this a few years back. It is fun but also challenging. The engine noise gets really obnoxious pretty quick and circles are boring too. It's neat that it is RC but as a racing game it just doesn't compare.

ML, I found it on my comp....but it kept on popping up random things that said stuff about it not being able to run. They kept on coming and coming, so I shut down my laptop. Oh well..

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 06:12 PM
you may need a computer with ATI products.

xmodificationer
03-18-2008, 06:17 PM
Not nesisarily ATI. you can use GeForce, etc. like it says. Im trying to convince my dad to get me a new Graphics card.

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 06:20 PM
if you want something reliable you are looking around 100-130.
my family's laptop now has all the bells and whistles.
but ATI programs and cards ect are a important part if iam not wrong? it just doesn't have to be ATI though.

lilskipro587

ATI and nVidia are just like Intel and AMD they both have their own strengths and weaknesses and it all comes down to personal preference. Personally, I am a nVidia guy. Its what I've always had, never had an issue with and generally they look to be more compatible and run smoother. Right now I have a GeForce 8400GS with 512mb onboard memory. It is a fairly good card and will run almost anything out there. But, just because you have a good card doesn't mean you aren't creating a bottleneck. What I mean by this is a great video card that's performance is being hindered by low amounts of RAM or a slow CPU. So do you homework before buying a card and who knows it may just be your computer.

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 06:34 PM
ATI is pretty nice, on nvidia do you have the control panel where you can adjust how your graphics work to make them more better quality ect..? and this laptop runs a ADM athlon 64X2. with a dual-core processor TK-53, 796 MHz, 896 MB of ram. but this computer was sold to us for gaming. We have all of the best ATI setups ect...
the laptop is a Dell inspiron 1501, bought for 500$

All the bells and whistles? My cousins Laptop has so much crap in it its unbelievable. It is super quick, has like a 300 dollar graphics card, sound card, etc. Its made for gaming. It freaking insane on how smooth and how great of a picture it has. Its pretty much custom built from scratch. Bryce Ive seen your laptop, its not that well for gaming it seems.

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 07:06 PM
lol, dude you only seen the outside of my laptop you don't know what the guy has in it so i would not judge, the guys dad is a computer junkie, he put about 700$ into this computer, but his cars tranny failed so he sold it to us, so yea dont judge stuff from its outside preferences.

xmodificationer
03-18-2008, 07:11 PM

All those posts were worthless. And yes, nVidia has a control panel for all those settings plus overclock programs made by nVidia. By the way a 700-some mhz processor 64 X2 or not isn't going to get you very far. I have a 2.6ghz AMD Athlon 64 X2 and 2gb of ram. That laptop is in no means made for gaming. It sounds to me like it is just a general laptop. I'm sure it doesn't have an issue playing VRC but it cannot be classified as a gaming pc.

it works with LFS very well.
my bad its 1.59 GHz

lilpro does my computer suck?

lol ok bryce.

No, it doesn't suck. It is pretty good for a laptop. Sempron's weren't the best cpu's when they came out but they get the job done for regular computer uses and light gaming.

mustanglover
03-18-2008, 07:46 PM
so mine sucks?

lilskipro587
03-18-2008, 07:49 PM
so mine sucks?

I did not say that. I just said it is no way a gaming computer/laptop and you shouldn't advertise it as one. It is fine for doing regular things but in no way good for gaming.

Hey lilskipro, is my laptop any good? I don't know much about the internal part of my computer or stuff about it. Someone should start a computer discussion thread.
I made the background up on Photoshop

XMR1 I can tell you that its not that great. Mines a little better. You don't have much RAM and low MHZ so not much speed and efficiency there.

you talking to me or XMR? in the second part.

Most likely me. Mustanglover, that is a clear picture of the car in LFS.

lilskipro587
03-18-2008, 10:00 PM
That is part of a replay or video of LFS. Plus the clarity is only dictated by settings. It is how many frames per second her gets while at those settings. Last I saw he got about 54 or 55 fps. Thats average. They put a cap on the game at 90 fps but you can turn it off and I now get about 150 fps

that indy car is the starting video the red car is my car, so idk...
