ok every one id like to put to rest a myth if you will, the myth that savages are hard to work on. i say from owning one, that they are nothing close to hard to work on yes mabey they are tightly packed but still very simply put together, when you really look at one its truely simple and easly fixed, besides if the trans goes or the brake pades/disc need to be replaced. in my opinion after tearing down 2 bikes and rebuilding one, i find that they are no harder than that.

i will have some pictures of it soon as i find the charger and the cable for my camara

I had one, it wasnt hard to work on, it was hard to tune and keep running and idling right...no matter what you say, this is not a beginner nitro. i tdoesnt matter that it falls down 20ft and take sit like a champ, most cant tune it right...

IM bringing this back(it hasnt been gone for that long..)...

You get your LHS to tune your truck...you cant even do it yourself...then you must really not be good with nitros, cause thats a basic waste of 15$...

And what is the meaning of your sig, you said that you dont know much about traxxas, and now you worship them. what is up dude, i personally think youre a poser...

It has been many days since the start of this thread and I have yet to see pictures. Get them up here as soon as you can. ;)

Stangracer, just F.Y.I. the only reason why my nitro Stampede(Traxxas) breaks so much is because I run it in the cold which causes the plastic to become brittle. Have you ever owned a Traxxas before? They have the world's best selling and most popular Nitro Truck, T-Maxx. They even race at Monster Jam with the Real Traxxas T-Maxx. Now that is an honor! I am yet to see you owning a Traxxas or this "Savage" of yours. Stop flaming Traxxas, you have no clue what you are talking about.

Owning both traxxas and HPI I can say that they both have their problems.
Traxxas models don't break any easier than HPI's do.
Depending on how you run them they will both break very easily if not handled correctly.
I can honestly say the my Jato holds a tune longer than my Savage but I also run the Jato a lot harder than I do my Savvy.
The Savvy isn't that hard to tune either, and working on either one of them is a moot point as to which is harder to work on.
Both are excellent top level R/C models and neither one is for beginners.

Here is my Jato

You can see more pix of them on my website. just click on my sig to get there.
