March 2008: "Outrageous Modification" Entry Thread.

Rules are subject to change.

General COTM Rules:
1. There will be NO discussion in the entry thread.
2. An entry thread will be started every first of the month.
3. Entrants have to be in by the 26th of each month.
4. A voting thread will be created on the 26th of each month and will go until the end of said month.


Submitting your Xmod rules:
1. You are only allowed to submit one car into the COTM.
2. You are only allowed to submit three photographs of that car. (Picture rules apply!)
3. Your car must be modified in someway. We do not want to see stock Xmods internally/externally.
4. No “store bought” Xmods. You must have done some sort of modification to your car yourself. (Cannot enter with one of AtomicMods modded cars.)
5. You must have 50 posts to submit an entry.

Entries:
Entries are due by Wednesday the 26th. This thread will be closed to all submissions at 9:00PM EST on Wednesday the 26th. A voting thread will be created shortly after the closing of this thread.


This COTM's "custom" Rules:
Seeing as how this is an Outrageous Modification competition it is required for your submission to have at least one item on it that was built from scratch.(BK's,model bodies,interiors,convertables,Etc....

Breaking any of the rules above will result in pulling of your entry. Please comply to these rules in order to have a safe and fair playing field for the rest of the members here at Xmodsource.

Custom Modifications done:

Steering: HS-55 servo adpoted to board with a drag-line steering set-up
Front suspension: Single shock style set-up on front knuckles.
Rear Motor/drive train/chassis: Cirrus CS-301 Servo, AWD, lift kit, locked front and rear diffs, custom metal drive shaft, Extended chassis painted black, and 4 AAA battery pack fitted on top of chassis.
Wheels: Custom model offroad rims fitted with Aoshima Super Swamper tires, metal lug nuts.
Body: custom built '84 GMC crewcab (2 models used to make this one), It had head and tails lights and it also features interior cab details and under the hood engine bay details aswell. A custom rocksliders/side rack guards was also installed on the chassis.

EDIT: I just added a new underbody aluminum skid plate, new ball/socket joint for steering servo, and wide wheel hubs on all 4 wheels.

the power plant is what is special here. helimax motor and 1440 Mah Lipo battery under the bed of this truck. yes it is 2wd and does go pretty well for its size.

it's been along time since i entered an XMS contest.

i built this car for 4cfedXmod of XMF.
no chassis was built for this car but the shell is enough to slap on a stock chassis and impress almost anyone.
