Ok, I have a EVO lancer. It's basically brand new, But it won't steer. :-? When I turn it on, It doesn't self-center. When I turn the steering back and forth on the controller it goes full right and stays there. It won't move. everything else on it works fine. I took of the plastic plate the covers the circuit board and compared it with a different EVO car chassis that works fine and it looks exactly the same.
I also took the plastic cover thing off of were the gears for the servo is, and there's no rocks in there or anything.

Help would be very appreciated,

Have you tried switching controllers and crystals?

Yes I have, still doesn't work.

I kinda moved the wires around a little bit and now it self centers, but it still sticks to the right.

find the loose solder connection or broken wire near where you wiggled the wires around to make it work and resolder it.

Nope, no wires are broken.

I just took the plastic case off that covers the servo gears, I took all the gears out. When I turn the controller wheel, The servo motor spins fine right, but not left. When I turn it left it's very weak and stutters. Would that mean my servo motor is bad?

Thank you everybody for all the reply's.

Welll I dont know alot of stuff about electronics on the xmods, So Im pretty much outta this, Im sure you can find something, All crystals in right?
Are you sure the Black orange and white small wires, at the corner of your board are on good and not touching?

Are you sure you have put your tie rod on right?

If you looka t your tie rod, It has a little stem sticking down. Make sure you have put that over the stem in the steeing place that the tie rod goes.

There is a little white stem it goes over.

Have you messed witht he steering controll on the controller?

You coud have the steering se to turn right.

I doubt its the servo. If the servo went out it wouldnt turn at all.

Yep, I've tried that, the wheels won't move. I my self think it's the servo because when I turn it on It automatically turns to the right and stays there. If I try to move the wheels with the controller, it does nothing... I looked at the servo motors pinion and steered the controller wheel back and forth, when I turn it left, all it does is sputter and doesn't turn. When you try to turn it left it's very very weak. To weak to turn it..

Try takeing the servo motor and flipping it, Does it still go too the right, Or does it go too the left?

Okay, Thanks for all the help guys! I'll get a new servo motor and see what that does...
