here's 1 of 2 working cars out of my 30+ collection. its a radioshack superstreet RSX. 16.5MPH is boring after a 50+ MPH kyosho FW 05T nitro, but like hondas they last and are cheap. so whats your one main RC 1/10 car?

It looks ok, but my Nitro Stampede can smoke it! Hehe. It looks more like a cheap cheezy toy.

cheap yes, cheezy, no, only in the rear where the body is disproportioned. but when new it looks much better than any flimsy lexan body. I usually run tight tracks on a roller hockey rink so it gets the job done. pics of my track car to come soon. its the blue body, stripped of decals, wing and rear diffuser part of the bumper. and its in better condition

I will have to admit, they are cool, but only if you rip it open, and upgrading the electronic, they are kinda slow.I dont really like walmart RC's because there cheaply made, and if you drive them hard, they wont last for long.
I got a West Coast Custums car,and I drove it for like a week, then it just didnt work right,or even work at all,so I tore it apart and I'm using parts off of it..

I like that TC3. I shud have gotten that or the HPI RS4 3 instead of being cheap with the kyosho, blown engine.

and at the moment I am awaiting shipment of my sautering tool which will allow me to make my RSX go atleast 20MPH with a motor swap. but those things are as hard to work on as Nitro cars. not really ment to be taken fully apart.

and by the way I have the first gen of the HPI nitro RS4 sitting in the garage, and its plugged up, I left gas in it for months, drained it but some is still in there. what do I do? that is my last hope of something fast. I cant find a connecting rod for my FW 05T and a new engine is 115$

Well if you were to throw that an a Lexan Body out a window, or both into a curb at 30mph, which would survive? Plus Lexan is much lighter and tougher. Try racing on hard, dry concrete. It will give you the most speed and grip.

dam, my track RSX might have died. anyone ever had a negatively charge battery?
cause I just my fast charger twice on the same battery w/o using it. a week from the first charge came the second. and it wudn't even spin the wheels.

thing is, I used on of my friends batteries and it was low from the start. then he used it on his car and it seemed to be fine.

did the mighty RSX die on me?

Lemme guess, you got the body off a New Bright Truck right? Very nice rig. How's it perform? How do you like the big bore shocks?

Well, it says New Bright on the body...
It performs great. The shocks are a little stiff, so I might have to drive it more, or get softer springs. Thank you. :D

Its so funny that you say that... Lexan is the hobby industry's standard... They're durable, cheap, and if painted nicely, look great! Plus, the paint doesn't wear off and scuff...

Anyway...

only thing I have against lexans is that they usually have plastic rods sticking out and are almost see thru. the ones like my RSX and that guys land rover body, realistic. ehh, we have our own tastes. after having several cars my favorite was the RSX, cause it was a RSX, not a chassis and flimsy shell.

...There is a reason why Spade was banned. I won't go into a tirade about how Spade doesn't know what he is talking about.

What the heck are the plastic rods? And the fact that he thinks they're see through has to be because he is either looking at the windows, or knows people/ he himself doesn't back the paint.

I will post pictures when I finish with my trueno. Here is my build thread on another forum though--I cut out the light covers (Trueno body has flip up headlights, but the lexan body has it fixed down because well... it's a one piece body) and built my own light buckets. Next on the list are some good offset rims--most likely black in the rear and silver in the front with some rounded ABS, because cut block looks ugly :(

Haha mooshu I think he means the body posts.

Yeah, you need to learn vocabulary of RC nature, especially your cute little RSX.

Flimsy shell?
I've beaten the hell out of my cen ct5.
I ran over a piece of wood in a baseball parking lot, and it got some serious air.
Like 4 inches, and the body hit the ground, it bends back to normal.
That's why polycarbonate-lexan bodies were created buddy.

Your little RSX would just crack.
Plastic rods aren't so bad you know, easy access to the chassis.
What real racers use.

The tl-01 is pretty fun, not a pure bread racer by any means. Its a fun drifter though. Ive been told that the chassis is pretty indestructible which is always good lol. Right now I have it set up for rally driving, but it will go back to drifting once I get my tl-01b's in. They are fairly cheap now adays, so if its a good price I say go for it. Just make sure you keep all the gears lubed up so that they wont strip.
