Mini-Zs are cool! I have been trying to get one of the new AWD ones myself but unfortunately I had to pull out of the deal! Don't worry about how old that one is! With the right parts the RWD ones rock!

As long as it's an MR01 upgrade then it will fit. I believe some other parts, like some off the MR015 will fit, but don't quote me on that. Check out www.minizracer.com for any other questions you have. They'll know better than anyone here would.

They're slower than an Xmod is stock. MiniZs are not meant to go fast like the Xmods, they are precision machines. A new MR02 (RWD) with a TX is ~$125 while a MA010 (AWD) is upwards of $140. Upgrades are way more extensive than Xmods; knuckles with degrees for caster to motors with way better winds than an Xmods. Plus, alloy galore from GPM, Kyosho and others. You should also check out Minizracer.com to learn more about the Kyosho MiniZ.

The upgrades are endless after you venture into the after market world, and there are so many classes, even an open wheeled class, mini-z are the way to go if you have the money...
