my xmod doesn't go as far as it use too
like it only goes 20 or 15 feet

well im pretty sure u didnt fry ur receiver cause it will only go like 5ft ... well make usre ur antenna wire has good contact with the antnna. tell me if that works

20 feet seems too far for the receiver, but it's possible it fired a little. Try replacing the battery in your controller first though, and if you have another controller, test the range with it to make sure it isn't the controller.

yea and I noticed as my xmod gets older it starts 2 get less range

If the antenna touches a power source. I bet it's your controller battery though.

it wasn't my conroler battery i think i think it my controler or maybe my rechargable batter isn't powerfull enuff

The controller battery needs to be fully charged, or just use an alkaline 9 volt.
I do not know if a lithium can work in the transmitter.

I don't think it's worth the effort. I find that Radioshack brand 9 volts get better range than duracells for some reason though.

i found out the problem i resolded my antena and i used a bigger wire to connect it because the original wire was cut so i put in a big wire, but the big and thick wire made the car only go 15 to 20 feet so i put a smaller and thin wire and now it works fine
