go look on atomicmods.com, they got a tutorial there, all u need to do is drill chassis, make the holes wider (drill) where the battery wires went in, u dont gotta do the other unnessary shiP* like scrapeing the wax over that little cone thing to tune the singal and crap, basically just drill chassis and drill the holes where the battery wires went, zip tie the batteries on, n u straight, ask anybody who done it b4

Are you sure that you have a 2 cell lithium charger? If you have one from a cellphone, then you do need the charger. You can order some from us when the store re-opens, or elsewhere. Atomic Mods is a bit overpriced for li-ions.

i do have a charger for it. i have a couple littium batt. because i fly gas and eletric airplanes(R/C) so i have a charger that will charge anywhere from 1-8 cells and then all the different charging rates. and another question what do fets do?? if i put them on can i put one or two more cells in??

when u upgrade ur fets to lets say 7 amp instead of the stock fets that are 3.8 amps(correct me if im wrong) they will allow you to run a hotter motor that pulls more amps than ur stock Fets can handle and no FETs do not have nothing to do with how many volts u put into ur car. your car will only handle 8.4 volts before u fry ur board. If you want to go higher then 8.4 volts then you will need a voltage regulater or a V2 board from atomicXmod. I got one and it works great. That will handle up to 30 volt goin into the car but u can not find a motor to handle that much volt let alone more than 10 volt

The stockers can only handle 2.5-2.7 amps from what I remember. BTW, Diablo, a Micro RS4 stock motor can handle the voltage. It's not the fastest motor in the world, but it's pretty **** tough, and has carbon brushes. I ran one when I had my 5 li-ion setup.

My first three pair of Lith batteries are from http://www.Atomicmods.com

Then I ordered another pair from http://www.performancexmods.com

After that I went to http://www.batteryspace.com/
There I ordered (2) 7.2V 2000mah Li-Ion 18650 battery pack with PCB
and (4) of the Li-Ion 18650 Cylindrical 3.6V 2000mAh Cell.

I bet you had fun fitting the 18650's.

Ok, so the MAX Voltage is 8.4V for the Xmod... and of course 2 Li-ion 3.7V is pushing 7.4V....

now, i see most of the Li-ion are 720mAh... is the higher the amp the better?

Because i know a guy that gets 1200mAH to over 2000mAh Li-ion batteries... would they be "better" to put in the XMod, or would it Fry the board or screw somthing up? Or would the charge hold a lot, LOT longer then the 720mAh Li-Ion?

thanks all!

The 600, 720, 2000, etc is just the length of run time.
7.2 volts will have you spoiled...
I could never go back to 4.8 and be satisfied...

The mah rating merely tells you how long you can run your car. The downside is, generally the size goes up with the mah.

What if we used 2 IPod batteries?
Specs: 3.7 Volts 1500mAh 2= 7.4V
Dimension: 3 1/4 x 2 x 1/16
Weight: 1 oz.

about $10 ea.

Measure you xmod and see if there's room.

**** viper i was reading a few post above and u ahd 5 lithium cells? holy crap how fast did that car go?
it would go a little slower then the 2 Cells more then likely... because of the added weight.

the addition of the 3 other Li-ion batteries only added Run time by what, 2.5 x's the time of the 2 cells?

Unless he changes the FET's and all that other ****e

Viper, you couldnt fit those IPod cells under the roof of the car?

Pre-Ipod dude (well, actually, about 6 months ago). It weighed a lot more, and because of increased voltage, the motor spun a lot faster and drew a lot more, so all the fets were stacked. I gather that you're into bits, right? With a bit, performance changes when you swap fets, but when you swap to fets on an xmod, it doesn't improve performance. In car terms, it's like rebuilding your motor with forged internals and lower compression to handle high boost from an S/C or Turbo.

im not real that good with electricity but i no a good chunk corectt me if i am wrong but there is a thousand mila-amp in an amp or is it a million
