I had a thread about this project, but it seems like it was also lost in the hack..

Ive been working on the weekly,so I dont plan on updating it everyday, but I might post a couple updates every-other day..Ive recently the body on a evo chassie, that has three chassie extensions,it fits ok,but it needs to be touched up in some areas. When I get some extra money, ill go down to my LHS,and buy some body filler,or putty, and start to cover up some flaws in the body, such as the front bumper, right fender, and prolly the hood. The body looks realy low,so im going to try to lift the front and rear a lil bit more, ive lifted it allready with 2 gen.1 yellow bushings.Im thinking about classic red paint and 2 black stripes in the middle..

Heres some recent pics..hope you like it..

Finally! Someone does it the EASY way! Everyone seems to be making it so hard on themselves by making some custom Über-spacer. For once, someone did it the easy way!

Looks good, can't wait to see it finished!

it wasnt that easy, all the spacers didnt just fit,so i had to file some parts down, and it still doesnt fit all that great, but i got it to stay in one place..

and a small update.I got the headlights mounted in the model's front bumper, heres the pics

I did that on one of my cars, and wouldve done it on the others if I had a pile of spacers sitting around... which I dont.

I cant wait to see this one finished! It looks pretty **** nice. I think I have that same model lying around here somewhere, and I was considering doing it, but I figured Id save it for later.

I've been working on it non-stop (well for a few weeks). I started school yesterday, so I wont be able to work on it that much. It may seem like I havent touched it for months, but I hace. I didnt want to mess up the body all, and turn to body filler to fix it, but that changed. The front bumper is glued on, but theres a large crack between the bumper and the body(where I attached the bumper to the front end of the body). It may not look the best, but its mine and I will like it (I hope).

I've been working with body filler alot lately, with the my Corvette "Dead Vette" being sold, I figured it could be my test body for the body filler work. Its going ok, theres still alot of work to do though..

that makes3 of us with this kit, the red will look good, but whats up with you and red? the 65, the silverodo, the vette and then some, i think its time to move away from the red, atleast after this car

snowboi1289
08-19-2008, 11:32 PM
I've got other colors to use. The reason for the red on the Vette, was because my uncle has a Vette that is red, and I wanted to give him the Vette for a small gift, but the paint was bad, and I still didnt get a chassis for it, so it went up for sale, then I wanted to re-do it, and try to get it right. The Silverado was just cheap. I only had red at the time, and primer white.

The Vette will be a different color after I'm done. But this Mustang will be red. If I cant get the right stripes, then it'll still be red. My first real body project is the Mustang Boss, so I really wanna take my time to get it right.

yeah i know what you mean, reds a good color goes on anything, i just painted a 87 thunderturd red, looks good, but what im trying to say is jump to other colors as much as possible. the boss will be one nice car when your done

It may look like orange, but its red. I'm diffenity not going with dark red. Bright colors noticeacle, and most dark colors arnt as noticable.

snowboi1289
08-22-2008, 12:42 AM
No, orange will not look cool. Red is the stock color for this car. I want it to look almost like stock, you cant go wrong with stock.

jeez, orange will still look cooler! Hah, it should be great either way.

Well, long time no update reply. Kinda sad how it will go down, it will be sold. I didnt completely finish it, its painted black. with very bright headlights, way brighter than stock xmods headlights. I'll get more pictures once the paint/clear coat dries completely.

I dont remember, I got it from PratsExpress.com . I think there 5mm, dont know really. There way bigger and better than tiny xmods ones.

Go to my for sale thread if you would like to buy it, because I know it will be sold either this week or next week.
