They looked like an economy car. The evo 5 was my all time favorite, it had a hard-edge track appeal IMO.

Yeap I'd say Evo 5 is my personal favorite followed by the 7...

The evo5 has the design appeal of a bmw, square hard lines and rounded fender flares, but it lacks the luxury of the BMW, which I like. The front bumper has those large aggressive air dams and fog lights that set it apart from the rest.

That's because Hyundai is a Conglomerant of Mitsubishi Corp.

The Evo X looks great imo. Except for the taillights. And I really don't see a similarity between the TC and Lancer. Their front ends are totally different. The headlights aren't even the same shape and the TC's front end has soft lines not like the hardlines sported by the Evo/Lancer

The Evo X does look better than the new STI though. The new STI looks like the lovechild of the Mazda 3 and the Corolla. haha. Its a beast no doubt...but I'm not a fan of hatches.

Evo 5 body-style is probably the most popular Evo out there... Fast on the streets, and looks like its ready to tear up gravel roads! It looks so aggressive, at the same time, the whole body-style flows. The new Evo X... The rear end is so flat, the tail lights are too small and too high... The front end looks like its ready to vomit some engine sludge all over your driveway...

As for my favorite Lan Evo, the Evo 3 is my favorite, followed by an Evo 6 Tommi Mäkinen Edition.

Subaru needs to bring in a a Petter Solberg Edition Impreza... That would be sweet.

the new evo really doesn't look that bad guys, at least they did away with some of the rice appeal and don't have a 2 ft wing in the back. the front end looks pretty mean, the only reason it doesn't look so sporty from what i can see is that the wheels are rather small, the stance if a little high, and the mirrors, doorhandles and window trim are all black plastic, if all this were the same color as the car it would make a huge difference believe it or not...lol i just noticed that if somebody covered up the front end of it and i had to guess what car it was, i'd probably say a focus

Chysler/Dodge owns a good portion of Mitsubishi. Much like Ford owns a portion of Mazda. Only difference is that Dodge/Chrysler doesn't own a big enough portion of Mitsubishi compared to how much Ford does of Mazda.

Oh, and good news for Canadians (about time )

http://lancerevolution.ca/

Lan Evo X will be in Canada!

Still, I'd rather buy an Impreza STi over a Lan Evo. If a company is going to serve America, but overlook its closest neighbor, why support that group?

Subaru has been in Canada since the 80's (may be 70's?), as well, they've been providing us with excellent vehicles. Why is it that NOW that Mitsu finally sheds a light to Canadians?

Agreed. The new Evo doesn't look like its up to the task of some offroad driving. It looks too fragile. It looks like a lot of stuff is going to fall off if you clip the front bumper going too fast through a crest (crest = WRC lingo for hill. Opposite of crest is a trough (pronounced: tr-off), and its basically a dip in the road)

Doge has been working with Mitsu since the mid '70's to import their cars under the Dodge/Plymouth(now defunct) name.

But I can vouch for Jimmy's know-how.

Sadly, though you insult the Subi-dealership guy on not knowing the difference in transmissions, you have troubles with hitting the right button on a forum. Way to go hypocrisy!

id like to know how you got your figured of 90%, and how acurate it really is lol. guesstimates dont mean much. im not saying every ASE guy is a idiot. and i never said jimmy was an idiot, just saying... ive met quite a few that are. and ive met a lot in my travels to many dealerships and talking with techs. while the younger kids tend to know more in general about cars, the older folks who just went to school to pass the test so they can get paid more pretty much only know how to turn a wrench. in my side of the world... i bet over half know how to turn a wrench. the tranny guy was just one example how the head transmission guy, who is known as 'the best' over here cant tell the difference between the 2 trans he works on teh most....

as for me hitting the wrong button, please shut up lol, like you've never pushed the wrong button before, or hit the wrong key. has nothing to do with being a hypocrit. i didnt go to college to learn to push the right button.
