My Real Drive Mini Project :) Copied from my post at the other thread:

I dont know about you people but I tested the car and its a million times slower than a stock Xmod... its heavy and bulky but interesting... I took out the LED's and the internal antenna and made it run thru the under rear... now I can take the body off without wire sniping :) Everything is like an Xmod body except no antenna hole and the two mounting prongs. The Servo is a 130 sized motor alrite... it has pure turning power but thats a disadvantage its power robbing... so sad... good turning power but lack of power due to only 2 1.5 volt cells ... If your hardcore... you would gut it open and try to modify it to the max and guess what? Thats what im going to to in my spare time... im going to transplant possibly a Micro-T board as Tex suggested if not an EVO board will do... i also need more power... so I might throw in a Lith Kitty... and uber- speed with no durable parts? So i might as well try to find some things to make it rugged and stronger. If you are willing to donate to this project... PM me.. I need some sheet metal and Dremel... mines just proke and cant afford one... due to problems with family.. :nodno: were in serious debt.. and someone also messed up our taxes too... well... here are the pictures:

Yup thats what im doing... Im not sure if the stock motors can handle it though... Im going to swith some things around soon... i wonder if I can still use the Stock Battery Trays... can someone help me on that? :-? . I think this is going to get a Evo Board :) Save me some money :) and I might swap the servo if not i need to rewire it somehow :-? I will start on this soon as soon as the stormy weather stops... (next week or so) Thats the updates for now :)

All it needs is a nice set of Li-Ion AA button cells, an HS-55/or other sub-micro servo (plenty of room since it uses a 130 sized motor stock!) and a better ESC/RX/TX package (iWaver, MiniZ or if you have to an Xmuds) and it would be a nice RC for ~$80 (counting all parts added).

cool! no ty wraps or soldering :D All i need is to solder the board and wire it correctly :bigwink: Now... time to go EP hunting and possible a new servo... the servo gears are complicated.. i took a look at em

Just make your own pack, but the AA 145000 cells from all-battery.com
If you feel like you can't, I make LiPo and li-ion packs.:)

It's finals week, lol, don't expect me to mill you anything for another two weeks. :)

See if you can do what you need done with basic materials and tools first; I doubt you'll be needing my help after all is said and done. ;)

Looks decent. I'll still stick to my Micro DT though. Top speed? Approximately? Hey, look, I spelled it correctly! Yay. Sorry for getting OT. Can they even match up to a stock XMOD? A stock Zip Zap?

Yeah... the storm... Even up here in Santa Rosa we have some bad weather... There was a lightning or two here.

Personally, I don't like the Skyline without the wing... looks too boxy that way. The wing makes it flow.

There's this thing called ebay.
Also, there's the crappy cells, crappy soldering, and horrid wires and fake dean-knock-off plugs:lol:
Yeah, that's what you get with CHEAP, and that's why you have a person not pawning off crap packs make one for you, so you know the solder joints are quality, which 3/4ths of my ebay packs aren't(I redid wiring w/ AM Superflex 18g).:)
