What state do you live in btw?

Kinda looks like a Michigan plate. I could be mistaken, however..

Looks nice. What' are you plans for restoration? Exterior doesn't look bad at all.

*sigh* another new member with 0 posts, a nice real car and "supra" in their username...anybody know how to do math?

and...that car looks pretty restored to me already, what more can you do?

He is not restoring that his username is supraboi97. 97 thats probably the year he was born. He's a 10 year old supraboi with no supra but a 67 mustang that looks fully restored. sigh... If your really restoring that, take a picture of it with supraboi97 written on a piece of paper next to it.

Sorry If I was being pretty harsh but I've been getting really mad about this. If your seriously restoring that (if its possible) good for you.

'97 was a popular year for the Supra... doubt it has to do with age.

Just relax til he has some time to answer...

my opinion is that its nice and it looks like its been well kept, nice find, but everyone and their dog has one, i'd rather have a chevelle, but for now i will have to settle for my dad's '64 T-bird

Thats cool, I lived in GP for 11 years, my home town. Im in the same boat as you though, Im piecing together my '69 Chevy CST/10 and in highschool. Just dropped a 350 small block Chevy in last weekend: http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10839

More about the truck:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=223124

Why guages, steering wheel and seats? Its all in good shape. Worth far more to keep in original

WE. DONT. CARE.

Dont even reply to this thread if it has even the slightest reference to the Supra. And also, 1994 was the '15th anniversary'.

supraboi97
10-21-2007, 08:36 PM
well mainly just wanting to replace faded and rusted parts to make it look newer but other than that nothing and it does have a 289 but might eventually drop a 428 in it not sure yet but back in march it took first in a local car show so i was pretty excited about that but there wasn't very many cars there but were all nice

mustanglover
10-21-2007, 08:46 PM
so its a straight 6, 3 speed?

supraboi97
10-21-2007, 08:58 PM
no its a 289 V8 but it is an automatic i would have rather had a standard but owell

mustanglover
10-21-2007, 09:05 PM
I hate automatic, because its like our not in control of the car! it gives our body a rush when you get into that next gear.

theres only 3 of them near you? dang then i bet yours does stand out, down here in spring theres a classic car show in a Kroger parking lot for like 1977 and older cars and the number of old mustangs is outragous, i went yesterday and there were like 20+ mustangs and there were about 8-10 shelby cobras

supraboi97
10-21-2007, 10:25 PM
ya so i don't really see that many very often but i think mine is the best out of the other ones

yeah he was deffinately messing with you, those things are quick as hell, the car show was tight cuz all of the cobras were all lined up next to each other then on the end of those were all the classic gt500s and gt350s then across the isle from them were a lot of the 67-69 camaro SS's and a few stingray corvettes and 68-72 chevelles, there were a bunch of charger r/t's and a couple challengers, then there were some trucks and of course the custom chop-topped hot rod.

awesome car show + every saturday night in the same parking lot = sweet!

Cobras just blend in with all the other Mustangs... The only time I barely notice one is because of it's hood vents. Othrwise, when driving, its not much different then every other one.

For shoulda pulled another Cobra R..

supraboi97
10-22-2007, 06:12 PM
Ya it would i was kind of curious what a 2005-current body style would look like in a cobra r i think it would be sweet
