I have about 3 side projects (as always) and I just finished redoing over a regular black skyline that I had sitting around.

Here's it before:

It has a 4 colors flip paint on it but due it being overcast when I took those pics, it was kinda hard to get it to show the 4 colors ( Gold/Purple/Red/Orange - sometimes it looked green also).

Thanks for looking :) .

Thanks, i'm not too much for stickers also but I had this set from a JECS skyline laying around so I just went sticker happy:roll_eye: and plasted it with sponsor decals ( still looks good imo:bigwink: )

Thanks dude.

Very very clean.

It was my 1st time working with this kinda paint and it i had to redo it 2 times before it came out ok.

Thanks dude, the flip paint is awesome indeed. The next time I think i'll only get the 2 color flip-flop paint - it's more easier to see the different clolr change in the any lighting.

What is it, Krylon?

The Red-Blue is very pronounced. Just remember, the darker the base, the more pronounced the shift. But if you go with Red-Blue, it turns purple in the dark.

@ Vette - this one stays in my collection for now:bigwink:

Thanks Donzi - I just felt no build thread was required since it was just a simple paint job and with decals added - no need to waste time and bytes on it -lol:D

The Red-Blue is very pronounced. Just remember, the darker the base, the more pronounced the shift. But if you go with Red-Blue, it turns purple in the dark.

The paint I used was SPAZ Stix spray paint. I think I did see a red/blue flip paint at on the shelf so i think i'll get that one next time - it's rather expense - also $12 a can compared to $6 for Tamiya spray paint.

i can defiatley see the purple and the gold

LOL - it's not my fault for that one - taking time with your projects only makes things better (that's why I don't rush anymore :bigwink: ).

where do you get that kind of paint?

Try HobbyPeople - that's where I got mines at.

Well, you know one forum needs some livening up. And you're still hiding stuff from us..

Can't wait for the next project!

Wow! As always, excellent work XMODification!

I like the use of the decals to simulate a track racer, while at the same time, using the stock body without any body kit add-ons!

I love the color too! 10/10!

Thanks guys! I don't think Michael's carry that kind of paint - maybe Walmart might have something similar though. The Spaz Stix would be found most likely at any HOBBY store that carries R/C's supplies.

LOL - I'm not holding out - I do have alot of plans but I decided to take my time with them instead. I can tell you that My Supra and my NSX will has been repainted and will be intruduced soon. There's also another F-150 project and my Super Camaro will be getting a minor paint job.

hey X, you got any better pics? so we can see all of the colors?

I actually can get it right for some reason - I'll try to get a few more soon so that you can see all or most of the colors ( it's only soppuse to be 4 anyways -lol)

Thanks dude, I had to work with the stock BK since it's all I had but it was easy to paint being stock. The decals I had for along time so I just had to use them on something - they were from another Skyline model so it fitted nicely on this one.

Flip flippidy flip-floop flop!

lol, Your car looks really nice! The only thing I noticed is that you missed the trim around the windshield, It should be black like the other windows. Its not too noticeable though!

If your looking for the flippy (:p ) paint check out some auto parts stores. Duplicolor makes a kit thats around 12 bucks and every Advanced Discount Auto Parts store I've been to has at least 1 kit.

I need another body, I'm running out of ones to paint
