So being as how BlackSky was kind enough to give us a miscellaneous area on the forum I figured I would start a thread dedicated to the Havoc Heli from Air Hogs!

I picked one of these up from Walmart last weekend (I was bored because my main XMODS are in the shop for upgrades) took it home, charged it and was away!

I have to say that for a hand held toy it is a load of fun!

It takes about a minute to get the trim completely perfect but as soon as the copter is straight you can fly around for a whole 10 minutes diving bombing people, dusting the table blowing all the paper off of it, flying into the A/C to see if you can handle the cross winds!

There really is no limit to do what this thing can do.... well other than go outside but hey for $30 I'm happy!

Here's an action shot prior to take off:

I know that meme45 posted about these a while back but has anyone else gotten into them since?

Also does anyone know anything about modding them or if its even possible?

I got one a while back and love it. Pretty good little chopper for the price.
As for modding them there are a few sites around where people have done all sorts of mods from blade tweaks to full motor replacement. One thing to mention is some people have put a push pin in the nose to give it more forward speed. Works fine unless you hit the battery. then you have issues. Do a google search for havoc helo, should get you quite a few forum hits.

Yeah when I get paid I think I'm gonna go for the Boeing AH-64D Apache attack helicopter:

At Toys R' Us they want $60 for it!

They also seem to have some sort of online special where you can get $15 back from them!

I also looked around the web but to be honest that seems to be about the typical price for it:

I believe you also have to get the Air Hogs yellow lipo and charger kit!

There is also a Havoc Heli Apache version:

But I haven't seen it anywhere but online!

well is that black one 6 way or just 4 way like the havoc? And that apache havic looks way cool. I just got mine at walmart. I was going to get the blue one and then i walked passed another display and saw one with green camo stickers so i got that one. And i made the mistake of lettin my buddys kids play with it and a little part that holds the main prop on broke so it kinda wabbles now and one of the bottom foam fins broke. And now i cant even find my heli for some reason

I believe that the Boeing Apache is only 4 way! But it can be used outdoors!

What is the 6 way one you are talking about?

TheB1GDude -- Check out some cheaper hobby grades that can be found online from Tokyo/China. They're a lot of fun, when you can learn how to fly them. And they're about the same price. (Co-axial ones run around $80, single rotors' run for about $120.)

Have fun! They are pretty fun.

i also have a laser tag one but me and my cousin paid for half of that each, but its probably the funnest game if you have two people...

I managed to get mine flying pretty well but after multiple crash landings and cat attacks it is starting to split! I'm going to see if I can upgrade and repair it!

I also got mine from Walmart and it was the best $25 I've ever spent. As far as I know theres no upgrades for them but, I have seen replacement parts on Ebay.
