what batteries other than ions?

these things devour normal batteries what should i get

any AAA NiMh cell, NOT NiCad....they develop a "memory" and generally don"t last as long as NiMh AAA cells. I converted to 2 AA Li-ion cells and I swear by them and suggest using them any chance I get.

just to let u know...installation of a li-ion kit does require some soldering skills and minor modifications to the chassis...no big deal
