the '04 cobra is also medium based. there are no short wheel-based cars.

That's like going to the movies and there not being a small Coke, as opposed to a LWB the other cars are SWB, I think that's the concept I was trying to create.

OK, that sort of makes the decision on my own first car easier. I'd love to get the 'vette and make a C5-R out of it but for the sake of some tighter corners I may make the first the RSX. I've also read in other places that the Vette is lighter than the other bodies, how true is that?

The NSX, RSX, and 2004 Cobra kit are on the medium wheelbase and the rest are long. I suggest you pick up the RSX and 2004 Mustang top, so at least it'll look good.

..obviously I didn't listen to the Ford guy (very rare for me as I'm a Ford guy too) and got the Vette. Body work begins today, may go and buy another one just to hack around with until the C5-R is finished.

They don't listen to me until I beat them in a race. :D At least I'm not an import guy.

Yeah, you have that going for you. I may do a newer Mustang, I've found some decent pics of the Tim Allen racer, it looks pretty cool and I may try that in the future.

Also, a fox body ('87-'93 for the people who don't know) stang would be sweet. My neighobr has a '93 Cobra and I've been dying to make a replica of it.

That car is amazing. I just love the custom Mustang decals on the sides of the car :D

Just so you know Viper, you're a bad influence on me. I bought an RSX yesterday and the Mustang Body. Of course I had to buy the bearings, AWD, suspension kits, wheel and tires kits, stage 1, stage 2.....

That makes 3 cars now. ****, I'm an XMOD junkie.

 I only have 1 xmod, but it's insanely fast, and I'm thinking about a 2nd one with a Lightning body.

I don't know that I'll do much with the 'stang, just slap a number on the side and race it. The RSX will get butchered eventually, maybe make a Pro Mod out of it for drag racing.

OK, one last question: Are both the '65 and the '04 Mustangs medium WB?

Well, that pretty much makes up my mind then, I need to find a RS locally that has the '65 body and convert AMG back to Fords. The 'vette body came out pretty nice, but it's still a Chevy. I'll make the '65 an R and then maybe do some showroom stock stuff with the '04. I hate making them AWD but it seems to be what holds the road courses the best.

It is, unless you swap to Mini-Z rear wheels, which have a huge array of tires and widen the rear track. The tires go from bubble gum to hard plastic.
