The NSX all the way for me! :D :D :D Super overall car. (but not the best) I fancy the 90's models over the 00's models though. :p The ITR is also a great one, they're mean FWD sob's if properly tuned!!

Brap! Brap! Z32 FTW! Yeah!

For me, I'm starting to have a thing for a nice '92 Lan Evo III GSR. Yes, like the one you can start off with in GT4. Its a nice car.

But my absolute favorite is a tie between a 1991 Silvia K's Aero (S13) in dark olive green metallic, and a 1998 Silvia K's Aero (S14) in black or a 1996 in white.

i would probably drop a honda v6 in it and twin turbo that, and why would i do it? because no one would expect it out of a honda, and it teh only rwd honda so its awesome

Turbo? The Honda's rev high, and a high-end turbo would get you lots of power of the upper range. Torque will be lacking (as ussual), but you get over that. It's a small, lightweight car anyways..

I'll take a 1991 Honda CRX in White with a K20a...

My personal favorite is the CRX or the original Honda's, like the AZ600's and the Original Civics....

Chux would know that.

well, the 2.0 4 cylinder 237 BHP V-TEC engine does have the most hp per lieter in it's class (correct me if i'm worng(now that chux said it, most hp per liter for PISTON cars.))... so a twin turbo would give it that extra little oomph... imagine that thing in a civic... heh heh...

noturday
09-10-2007, 10:44 PM
its actually a 2.2L with 237 hp of couse its V-tech, and it would fly in a civic. sadly my dad's accord v6 had more HP and torque than the s2k. so if i got an s2k i'd drop a v6 in it and put at least one turbo on it. that would be a sweet honda

the S2000 has the highest hp/displacement ratio of any piston-powered car. the rotaries beat it by a mile.

problem comes when only 2.0l of air try to rotate a big turbo. get comfy, cause it'll be awhile before the power comes.

just read about the rx-7 on wikipedia.

the FD has a 1.3 lieter engine with 255 hp. you were right. huh. compared to the s2000"s 100 or so hp per lieter is a lot.

But in the past the Rotary (Valken Motor?) was ineffieciant (horrible gas milage) and wore out fast.. But they've been used on Airplanes for a hundred years for thier sheer power.

you would still have to import it if you wanted it in the US.

But in the past the Rotary (Valken Motor?)

Wankel. Named after Felix Wankel.

Anyway, for me, it would have to be the Nissan U12 Bluebird Attesa(1989-1993 in Japan)!

We've got a variation in here in North American going under the name Nissan Stanza (1990-1992), but our rear-end and rear-window-slope is slightly boxier compared to the sleek one that the U12 Attesa has.

Like the name says, Bluebird, one of the longest running Japanese nameplates around, but its probably the most underappreciated and underestimated Nissan to go under the Bluebird marque, but yeah... Continuing with the name, Attesa. Meaning 4WD.

Here's a brief fact, the U12 Attesa (1989-1991 models) were the FIRST vehicle to be mass produced with the ever-popular SR20DET engine. You know, the engine the 240 boys are putting in their car to be JDM tyte.

The U12 was discontinued due to Nissan's financial situation at the time. They were working on two rally cars, but were only able to continue funding one. Between the U12 Bluebird Attesas and the N11 Pulsar GTi-Rs, Nissan kept the 'nicer' looking one and discontinued the U12. It was later revamped as The U13, known as the 93-95 model Altimas in North America. The SR20DET and the 4WD drivetrain was kept on the U13 models in Japan, but our Altimas came FWD. After the U13 Altima in North America, all other Altimas 1995+ have been soley American.

Back to the U12, the U12 was a counterpart to the Lancer Evolution, being its traverse-mounted, turbocharged, 2.0L 4WD characteristics. The Pulsar GTi-R was the counterpart to the many 'hatchback' rally cars.

I've owned the North American FWD version of this car at one point in time, and have regret selling it. Its impossible to find one in decent condition here in Canada... I've got a thing for this car. If given the choice over a Benz SLR McLaren and a 'decent' condition U12, even if FWD... Call me crazy, but I'm still taking the U12...

Anyway, here is a photo of a U12 Bluebird SSS Attesa Limited owned by the member Budgie of ANTRX. SSS stands for 'Super Sport Sedan'.

one of my coworkers drives a neglected Stanza. neat car.

But in the past the Rotary (Valken Motor?) was ineffieciant (horrible gas milage) and wore out fast.. But they've been used on Airplanes for a hundred years for thier sheer power.

well...the S2000 motor ain't goin for 300k miles either.

wrong rotary. aircraft rotaries are an entirely different design than automotive ones. the aircraft version of a rotary refers to an engine where the crankshaft stays stationary, and the rest of the engine (heads, pistons, etc.) rotate around it, and the prop is bolted to the cylinder block. this generated incredible amounts of torque because of the massive amounts of rotating mass. but, alas, still used pistons. the automotive version ditched pistons and crankshafts all together.

So how did it get gas? I understand that it would get TONs of power like that, but the gas and such confuses me...

Have you guys seen the air rotarty yet?
